  1. That away top is smart. Glad I wasn't the only one whose first thought was Unknown Pleasures
  2. Basically just going to be this again, isn't it?
  3. Based on seeing him a handful of times for Carlisle and the Newport league cup game, that's a terrifying thought.
  4. If he was a man of principle, genuinely wanted the best for the club and thought the way it’s being ran was unacceptable, he’d walk. Like the man before him, show the world how bad it is - that we openly refuse to compete and that the fans are being held in contempt. But nah, most importantly he’s happy to take the money knowing he can get away with doing very little while there’s next to no chance of that steady cash flow being snatched away. He can stay where he is and avoid further criticism by hiding behind his “local” and “nice guy” image.
  5. MMA getting in the Buttery Steve hype train.
  6. All I can think of is him commenting on his own behaviour ffs "He's a good lad is our Colin. Smashing lad. Cracking fella. Gets unjust press sometimes but he's rayt up there"
  7. There once was a man from Leyton, Who wrote articles purely for baitin', Said he knew of Mauriss, But was taking the piss, Here we are a year on and still waitin'.
  8. I was taking a similar approach. I want to be able to go back and if it looked like there'd be positive movement before they go on general sale next week, I might've swallowed some pride and bought one (if the can was still being kicked at the end of the season I'd jack it in) because should there ever be a takeover, I think the scramble to buy any remaining STs will be crazy. But nah, not now. We'll still be having this discussion in at least five years.
  9. So annoying that the Reubens have no interest in owning us outright, or at least as majority shareholders.
  10. This really needs to be spun into "Steve Bruce shags badgers" tbh.
  11. Wonder how different hours would’ve have been to this had we stuck with Puma?
  12. Haven’t listened to the interview, but I see Luke Edwards has labelled it a “car crash” which is a lot different to what’s been said on here…
  13. Ain’t no doubt, it’s plain to see. A woman like her’s no good for me.
  14. Hope PIF push for McClaren find a place for Steve McLaren in their setup.
  15. My most eye-opening experience watching England was in 2016 (big up those also in St Etienne for the Slovakia shitfest) and it was utterly grim, like. I felt so out of place as I wasn't completely off my face, nor was I obnoxious and felt I was better than everyone in the town who wasn't English. Think I've posted about it before, but I was stood next to some fat middle-aged Chelsea fan (he was singing Chelsea songs) in a beer-stained Weekend Offender t-shirt who swayed for 90 minutes and at one point decided to remove his shite Lonsdale trainers (you know the ones, those martial arts things) to reveal odd ankle socks. He could barely talk and what he said that I could understand were profanities with the occasional racist remark thrown in (not just towards our black players, but regularly referring to the Slovakians as gypsies). To use a popular Twitter/internet tagline, all I kept thinking was "someone collect their da, ffs". What happened in the final has definitely put me off going to watch England in Europe, as I'm sure these sort of morons will likely appear again. The likes of Brazil and Russia would appeal because I think it's a step too far for a lot of them. Unless something changes soon, Germany in 2024 is going to be another level of grim.
