  1. 31-2 hopefully we'll beat that when we play sunderland.
  2. so, after that spirited fightback are you all so 100% certain that we are down, that there is no hope, no saving us, and the nail is already in the coffin?
  3. off topic a bit, but did anyone hear chris moyles at just after 7am this morning having a go at the media? he was annoyed at the daily star saying this: "MOTORMOUTH DJ Chris Moyles had the smile wiped off his fat face yesterday when Radio One rival Scott Mills pipped him to a top gong at the Loaded Lafta Awards." having a right rant, and same about some other journo hanging around stirring about him saying something about some girls aloud singer. and then kinnear tops it completely!
  4. Manager is here for a month, probably will be extended if new manager agrees non? good point
  5. whats the point of loaning someone for a month?
  6. what about that man city fan?
  7. maybe if we can get toontastic and the mag to organise an official meeting to stop this, and get thousands of people to turn up at the ground protesting with boycoutt banners, then this wont happen?
  8. think players should be punished heavily for dissent, but it annoyes me that the likes of chelsea surrounding refs and ashley cole being a twat get away with it.
  9. home crowd and all that. id fancy a win, but not a thrashing by everton
  10. geremi coloccini bassong enrique feel free to swap g for taylor
  11. king joes black and white army! dont know why we cant be a little optimistic, we are mid table at the moment- chelsea top, spurs bottom, everyone else midtable!
  12. Not particuarily because if you read the question the thread poses, it says would you take 17th right now. All I wanted to do was to see what people thought our ambition for the season should be during this crisis. For me that was and still is survival, we for sure can't be expecting a challenge for Europe or even mid tible at this point in time. So to conclude I don't think anyone that posted that they would take 17th would look stupid if things start to turn around and at this moment in time IF is an extremely big word. although i agree with your sentiments, i think most people who are saying yes are probably the kneejerkers that become stereotype. personally, i thought wed finish 8th at the start of the season, im now going to go for 12th or 13th. i think some people are assuming that every match for the rest of the season is going to be like the previous few, but arent thinking rationally, as we are all a bit down with the current situation, myself included
  13. not a chance would i take 17th. this thread will be bumped when we get our key players back and everyone will look stupid
  14. i only attend the london away games, but yes i always look forward to them no matter how bad we are. instead this season though i might boycott chelsea and go to villa instead. if (which we wont) we get relegated, i will watch us at whichever teams are near my uni. ill also hope to go to a few home games!
  15. the thing is, i dont think any of us know enough about the football clubs finances, the market in general and the economic climate in order to make a judgement on how much the club is worth, only being fans
  16. Sounds like he is indeed as straight as a banana.
  17. wank. i was really enjoying some of these results, now there all turned round!
  18. Well maybe on both counts. But if you look at the Villa squad, I don't think it's better than ours. O'Neill just has the ability to get an extra 10% out of all his players. The sign of a good manager is someone who can overachieve on the resources that are available to him. I don't think Keegan has ever shown that. When it comes to over-selling himself, he's up there with the best though. i dont think our squad is stronger than villas- maybe several players from our starting 11, but our squad is terribly thin, and the fact that we have a few injuries and we are playing edgar who is shite speaks volumes. personally, not many players of villas that arent better than our first choice in each position, apart from given, beye, owen, and maybe martins and nzogbia on their day.
  19. liverpool as well :-[ sky sports say boros was a 30 yard volley from adam johnson!
  20. but then again, dont forget villa were average in their first season under MON, and had that been us he may well have got the sack. also, probably man city will finish above villa next season.
  21. let me be the first to say: sunderland 0-1 northampton town
