  1. but, surely ronaldos contribution this season (27 PL goals, and the rest) cant be replaced by anyone. not to mention shirt sales etc. im not sure £100m would be worth it. £100million for 27 pl goals a season, and the rest for at least 10 years.
  2. id like to see them doing something, but to be honest things like diving, whinging at rfs and favouritism of the big 4 are bigger priorities
  3. "The tables are compiled from marks awarded by The Premier League Match Delegates. " also its on the home page not the forum, so id expect it to make a little sense. not that you can really work out who the nicest fans are by awarding points. still looks like what most would expect.
  4. just seen this on the fulham website: "The ratings are based on the following criteria; verbal support in acceptable form and covert recognition of outstanding play by opponents. Points are deducted for persistent foul abusive language, persistent abuse of Officials' decisions and aggressive threatening conduct towards opposing fans." another reson to hate chelsea, as if there werent enough. 1 Fulham 32 266 8.31 2 Portsmouth 32 265 8.28 3 Newcastle United 32 264 8.25 4 Wigan Athletic 32 263 8.22 5 Arsenal 32 262 8.19 6 Manchester United 32 261 8.16 7 Manchester City 32 259 8.09 8 Blackburn Rovers 32 258 8.06 9 Derby County 32 257 8.03 10 Tottenham Hotspur 32 257 8.03 11 Sunderland 32 256 8.00 12 Everton 32 254 7.94 13 Liverpool 32 253 7.91 14 Birmingham City 32 253 7.91 15 West Ham United 32 253 7.91 16 Middlesbrough 32 252 7.88 17 Reading 32 247 7.72 18 Bolton Wanderers 32 244 7.63 19 Aston Villa 32 239 7.47 20 Chelsea 32 238 7.44
  5. they just 1-0 again. christ how they need defoe. is he injured?
  6. i voted chelsea because of the horrible football, general luckiness, their horrible players, plastic fans, (who are unbearable down here by the way, im sure if you lot lived down here you would choose them!!) and ridiculous ticket prices. nothing at all to like about them. i actually do quite like spurs, they play enteratining football, arsenal piss me off because of lack of english players.
  7. after a lot of comments about liverpool, i thought it might be interesting to have a poll to see who people hate the most. im guessing it will be a foregone conclusiion that sunderland are first. im thinking it might also be interesting to reset the poll in a couple of days and see how hatred of liverpool changes!!
  8. no, dont see a problem myself. just a general "rumours thread" would probably do
  9. against chelsea assuming they get knocked out the champions league: cheer up john terr-ee, how hard can it be, to be a cheating cockney with no champions league troph-ee
  10. fair enough, but you see my point. man u are playing the best football and winning convincingly. chelsea, generally not so much. i dont know about you but when you take the whole package, i prefer man u to chelsea. i was far more pissed off walking out of stamford bridge knowing weve been narrowly beaten than i was watching us lose 6-0. maybe thats just me.
  11. if we remember, when keegan made owen captain, everyone was having a go because of his irrational love of owen. now how many goals has he scored us under keegan? we have a manager who i actually believe now, other than the previous guff.
  12. they humiliated us twice, but that proves that they are the team that deserve to win the title rather than chelsea who beat us thanks to a very dubious last minute goal
  13. Nobody should pay less because of their religion. It was a one-off offer to encourage a sector of the population who would normally not think of going to a football match (despite living next door to a PL stadium) to go to one. If you were non muslim and lived in that area, you too would have had the offer. It just happens that almost everyone is Muslim there. Just to reiterate what Spurs From Africa said, it isn't a permanent arrangement, it was a one off offer. In the same way a lot of clubs sell tickets cheaply to schools. It won't mean a "Muslim section" of the ground (that'd be worse than actually not having them at the ground in the first place, in many ways). If the idea is to make it easier for people to make that first step to becoming an attender, then good for them. Remember what it was like for you the first time you went to a match as a 6 or 7 year old? There'll be Muslim kids just like that right now. If a few of them have had an introduction into the game like we had way back when, that left them wide eyed and wanting more, then good for them. Why should they be excluded from the near endless cycle of misery and disappointment that we get? We did similar things to encourage families back to matches (why do you think you can't sit in your seat at SJP with a pint?) several years ago. whats aston like as an area, i was thinking of going there for uni. i always thought aston villa wsa the posh side of birminghma?
  14. isnt that saying you hate man u more than u love newcastle? i absolutely hate chelsea with a passion but if it were the other way round i would want us to beat man u.
  15. stoke just lost. good oportunity lost. palace up to 6th
  16. people are now asuming that just because we have 1) keegan and 2) money that all the best players in the world are going to flock to us. and this is the relaistic target thread? henry- too good for us deco- likewise. i would love to see us sign bentley, but blackburn are higher in the league than us, chalenging for 6th plaace this season. it would take a lot for it to come off. we arent goiing to be able to attract players the calibre of owen and martins im afraid. this is just like th mackems thinking that they would get forlan and keane. not going to happen, although id like to think wed get better than chopra and andy reid!!

    Thierry Henry

http:// www.youtube.com/ watch?v=57gHFRoqE5I good clip of him being a w****** here. admits "arsenal are not a big club". bad attitude, next please failing
  18. tal ben haim? was good at bolton, seems to be forgotten about at chelsea
  19. thats what we thought until we played derby But we actually play to win games now rather than play to stop the opposition thats what we thought until we played derby This. Add that to last season's home goalless draw and away 2-0 defeat to Charlton, the home 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Utd and the 1-1 away draw with Watford. We can't ever beat the crap teams, part of the reason why we struggle. luckily though, weve just beat fulham and reading so hopefully thats finished noW!
  20. thats what we thought until we played derby
  21. Agree with that. A lot of averageness in the championship, many teams who would come up and get murdered. seconded. when i saw pompey v west brom, west brom looked like theyd stay up easily IF they bought a few good players. watching the first stoke fa cup game, their defenders were ok, but that ricardo fuller (one of the best players in the champ) looked crap. charlton might just survive?
