  1. Cannot believe the amount of kneejerk on here, why don't we wait and see what Mort and Keegan say about this before we jump on the "we hate Cockneys" bandwagon? Negativity breeds negativity, we know that's true.... Sounds like another bit of lateral thinking from our owner, but oh I forgot he's just an idiot because he wears the black and white and sits with the fans, that'll be why he's a billionaire then. It's bad enough hearing that shite from the papers who hate us never mind our own fans.
  2. Next thing we know there'll be a headline in the SUN "Mort won't give money to King KEV" All lifted from hypothetical threads!
  3. I'm, beginning to wonder if the journos have a bet on as to how long Keegan lasts, and I wouldn't put it past them to make his life very difficult just to play these kind of games. As for today's Man U v Spurs game they must have had a difficult time picking which team to wank over. Berbatov was garbage, gave the ball away at least 4 times, but oh no, he's the new Cantona FFS! You could almost hear them crying when Ronaldo scored his pen. Whether it was because they were so excited it was him or so disappointed Spurs lost I can't be sure. Let's draw up the bridges and forget them all, don't call phone in programmes for one, it just perpetuates the shite.
  4. Patrick Kinghorn is a wanker above all Talksport wankers -and that's saying something. He's always trying to stir the shit so that people phone in. Talksport is going downhill big style anyway, and since Gabriel Marcotti left that programme they struggle to say anything that sounds remotely intelligent.
  5. "Ashley should have stayed away from the terraces, listening to a bunch of drunks saying bring back Keegan! " First of all you don't become a billionaire by being swayed by a "bunch of drunks" and secondly wasn't that "bunch of drunks" calling for Shearer?
  6. Martins based on the number of goals he's scored in the last two seasons (in a very crap team overall). We can't compare Owen's goalscoring because his injury record is piss poor as we know. I just have the feeling Owen has burnout which comes from being so good when he was 17/18. He's lost enthusiasm as well as pace. And sadly I really do think (after seeing the Sky programme about him) he's far more interested in his horses than his football. He looked happier when he just talked about it, like the passion was there for the horses and the football was just a means to an end - to earn the money to spend on his multi-million stables in Cheshire. I'd like nothing more than to be proved wrong - and he scores 10 -15 goals between now and the end of the end of the season, but I just can't see it.
  7. It's the media again. They are the darlings of all the journos. Their defense is worse than ours and has been for ages but it's barely mentioned by anyone (apart from on here like). If they win something we'll never ever hear the end of it from the scum journalists. However I have no hatred of their fans at all, and no other fans either apart from Glory Hunting Man U supporters who've chosen to support the Mancs. That's the opposite of us, we're born into it and support NUFC from birth - it's in our genes. Dare I say we're stuck with the Mags whether we like it or not?
  8. "I don't believe it, an attack on Arsenal Shock! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=509876&in_page_id=1779&ct=5" I always get the feeling they really don't like Arsenal (one good reason for us to like them then), after all they have too many foreigners (the journos really wish they could precede this word with black). They would love it just love it if darling whoopdedoo darling Spurs were to take Arsenal's place in the top 4, which frankly would be too much to bear. The Man U wankfest is bad enough, a Man U/Spurs wankfest would turn me to non league football.
  9. Phil McNulty is also the BBCs website Chief Football writer. That might explain the absolute constantanti NUFC bile that comes from that site. The guy definitely has a problem with us, just read some of the stuff on 666 where he posts a lot of articles.

    "A Source..."

A "source close to" could be the person himself, but obviously he doesn't want to be identified. A source close to FS was usually himself (I always assumed).
  12. Surely if Redknapp had been approached before Allardyce was sacked that would have been a Martin Jol/Ramos situation. The media bleating would have been even worse about Allardyce* (if that's possible). (*Allardyce the new Newcastle martyr). Isn't it against the rules to approach a manager already in post unless it's official? They could hardly do that if SA was still in the job? I've got every faith in both Ashley and Mort, let's thank the powers in the universe that FFS isn't at the helm.
  13. "spookily harry has disappeared off oddschecker and mourinho has came into 10's from 16's. don't think the bookies have a real clue and are reacting to bets placed (betfair may be skewing the odds as some may bet on and lay off)" I think you might be right but also spookily it looks like the betting's been suspended on the Paddy Power site.
  14. Apparently Redknapp's odds have been slashed to 2 to 1 on from 12 to 1, someone's put £275,000 on him being appointed.
  15. But will he pick Owen just because he's Owen? I think he'll pick whoever is on form and this season it hasn't been Owen. Perhaps Rooney up front on his own? Apart from him none of the English forwards have had a spectacular season.
  16. Yes good thinking, and of course it's nearer his horses as well, it suits all around. Sam's obviously been told to raise funds by selling, fair enough. And I guess that when Ashley is on the town talking to the fans he's got the message there wouldn't be much protest if he was sold. It all adds to the mix.
  17. I think this story has legs as well, things have gone very quiet on the Owen front since the story in the Sun about how three "senior players" were unhappy, two of them held a press conference to say it was a load of lies. I wonder who the third one was? Either he's trying to engineer a move out or BS is cracking the whip and getting rid. But we'll be stuck with him and his massive wages, because who else is going to come in for him? Capello dropped him for Real Madrid so he isn't going to be desperate to pick him for England. His motivation to play will get even less and he'll spend more time at his stables where his true interest lies (it seems). We should have a bet on whether he'll be fit in January when Oba is away, I say he'll be fit for about three weeks and score 1 goal in that time.
  18. Yes I was sitting in the Leazes as well at the front and me and everyone around me was shouting for a penalty. I just don't get this argument saying it was a soft pen, the guy brought his right leg around to trip Oba up, if it had been outside the area it would have been given as a free kick so why not a pen? Can you remember Shearer not getting a penalty at Old Trafford? Because the ball was going away from him, no-one then was saying it shouldn't have been a penalty - we were all screaming. A foul inside the box is a penalty, or have I got that wrong?
  19. But the point is it was a nailed on penalty, he just seems to be doing the "better not defend us too much I'm supposed to be neutral here" act too often on MOTD, and if someone had stuck out a leg and tripped him when he was playing he would have gone ballistic if it hadn't been given.
  20. "No emotion in her voice, everything just sounds forced and delayed." You talking about Lawrenson now?
  21. "Tell me about it. I didn't see MOTD but of all people, i can't believe Shearer wouldn't say that wasn't a penalty." Wll surprise surprise Lawrenson said it wasn't a penalty (after explaining to the masses how we're the new Bolton and his mantra about our poor poor defence), and when asked Shearer said it wasn't a penalty but he supposed it was a typical "home" penalty, (that must be the type when Martins is involved and not his little mate Owen).
  22. I was amazed at Shearer saying it wasn't a penalty, FFS he stuck out his leg and tripped Oba, it's a foul in the penalty box so it's a penalty! If Rooney had been tripped like that Man U would have been handed 3 penalties. What are they on at the BBC? "We hate NUFC" tea?
  23. I think the thing you have to ask yourselves, on the basis of the last few performances, who are we going to beat in the next few games? If we can't beat the likes of Sunderland, Reading and Derby we'll be relegation fodder by about February, and then he'll have to go. What is puzzling to me this morning are the reports coming out in the papers that the "senior players" whoever they may be, are very unhappy with Sam's training etc, well looking at the team's attitude yesterday it's not just the senior players who are unhappy. I just can't see Ashley putting up with shit performances like that, he might be one of the lads, wearing his shirt, buying the drinks, but he's not bought the club to watch abject shyte. If this continues, well SA will be out because it's not going to change any time soon.
  24. Actually this thread is a waste of time (and space) because what Keane said was "England have shit good players", shall we start again?
  25. Well if they're so good how come they didn't qualify over the course of 12 games in the easiest group?? Probably because they're overrated, overpaid and hyped up to the max to by a media who is obsessed with Team England?
