? Aye but have you ever read it anywhere else in a prominent place? Daily Mail? No, Sun? No Mirror? No. They're not interested, only interested in us and how Wise is based in London and KK is getting sacked at any minute.
-
Man City might be shite at the back but you'll never hear that from the bastard journos. Neither will you hear a whisper of their owner and how he's been hauled back to Thailand, but we're shite at the top because Dennis Wise is based in London. As old Scargill used to say "Journalists are the scum of the earth".
-
I'm beginning to think this board has been infiltrated by NOTW & Daily Mail journalists acting as agent provocateurs. Mods have they got names like "Andy Capp Dunn" or "Rob "I'mlookingforastorybutIcan'tbearsedtocomeoutofthepub Shepherd" Trying to goad us into agreeing to shite like this. Tsk. Keep the faith lads. Be strong.

"that Ashley himself has played a big part in the predicament we are in today." What? How's it Ashley's fault that FFS hired Allardyce? Unless Ive read that wrong like.
-
I think his user name is an anagram for ANDY DUNN NEWS OF THE WORLD
-
"The other problem has been the loss of Dyer, which was not Allardyce's fault. He was hounded out by the fans, whatever he might have said in public. He did a lot to keep us up last season, and we don't have a replacement for him." This is cack. He wasn't at all interested, he couldn't shoot or tackle. He was disliked by the fans (with good reason). FFS Scholes scored more goals than he did at St James Park. The only thing that kept us up last season was Martin's goals, how many assists did Dyer make last season? I can't be arsed to look it up but it wouldn't be past 10 that's for sure. I just hope KK realises he really has to play Martins and get rid of this anglo centric bias he seems to have. (ie they're English so they must be better).
-
Are you implying that our Chairman made some money out of it? No not for a minute, I'd never suggest such a thing.
-
What were the odds of Souness getting the job then ? Anyone on here have a bet on him? I wonder if anyone did have a bet on him getting the job? Just askin like.

"Geremi had been on the field for two minutes on Saturday when he robbed a defender and whipped in a cross better than Duff ever has for us." I noticed this too, but no fecker was there to tap it into the net, that's all it needed. I don't know why people don't like Geremi more, he's miles better than Duff, or Barton, or Smith. Not fantastic but way better than these three wastes of space.
-
I also think Brum have turned a corner since McLeish came and it isn't going to be easy for us at all. The key is whether KK has the courage to make big changes in the team. He surely has to start with Martins up front, I know it won't be popular to say it but I think Geremi has to start as well. If he plays with Duff and Smith we'll lose, we may as well play with 9 men. Making Owen Captain of course means he'll never drop him for Martins, no matter how badly he plays.
-
You could add if KK drops Smith, Duff, Barton and Butt (in that order) we've got a chance.
-
Row 17 Seat 75ish; I think he had a meat and potato pie. He signed lots of autographs too. Aye I just spotted him on Football First eating his pie. The commentators didn't though. Looked like he was thinking "FFS why wasn't Martins on from the start?"
-
Any newspaper reports of Spurs fans booing their team off last night? No thought not.
-
This is apropos of nothing but looking at Happy Face's avatar doesn't KK look 300% better than when he arrived here? He looked truly shite then and now he must be thriving on the challenge. He obviously takes no notice of anything that's written about him in the papers.

Wheyse keyse at it again http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2261924,00.html?gusrc=rss&feed=5 Jesus are we going to get a story like this every time Wise finds someone? "Wise finds player, Kev not happy - won't sign him because Wisey picked a player and he didn't " bla bla feckin bla. Why doesn't she go down the road and find out about why Keane spends all that money on players like Reid and Chopra FFS?
-
Difficult one - if Ashley had sacked him as soon as he came in he would have been even more lambasted in the gutter press than he is now (his most heinous crime being he stands with the fans on the terraces - how disgraceful is that). He had to go before the end of the season, we would have all died of boredom and anger by May. Also Mort indicated the players' morale was at an all time low by the time he was sacked, so they had no choice.
-
This Plus the fact Moyes has got madman eyes and do you really want another Scot?
-
I went to Lisbon for the UEFA Cup Final in 2005 when I thought we might be in the Final. Aye well. Trained it to London, got a flight from Heathrow direct. I think that's better than fannying about with Faro etc, might be a bit more expensive but worth it in the end. The stadium is great, the hotel was fantastic, great place to go to.

Must be Shepherd & Son shirley.

Surely anyone who supports us out of choice and is not from Newcastle deserves praise for not choosing the Glory Hunter route. I too hate glory hunting Man U fans and any other fans who choose clubs because they win all the time, but to support us when we've been cack for the last few seasons takes a special kind of person (masochistic perhaps?).
-
"Rather spend the money on a proven established player rather than splashing out 15m+ on a couple foreigners who turn out to be rubbish" We should never buy another Man U reject ever again, have you not had enough with the two we've got? And why spend loadsamoney on one English player who's getting sold from Man U instead of a couple of foreigners? Is it because he's a Geordie, because I can't think of any other reason to buy him?

http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2257907,00.html Wheyse keyse louiyse at it again - strange article, starts off saying he's selling then argues against herself saying why would he have sacked Allardyce, brought in Keegan and Wise and so on if he was selling. And there's been no denial because Mort finds it tedious to deny such stories all the time. Mack yer mind up Louise man.

They have to have their Newcastle story to sell a few papers. That's all it is. They were obviously in the pub thinking up this latest yarn because I heard a NOTW journalist on Talksport (might have been Andy Dunn - can't remember) this morning at around 8:15 and either he had a ragin hangover or he had been up drinking all night. It was embarassing to listen to.
