  1. Not sure this is media hating us though... I would probably have predicted the same pre season with all the crap that was going on!
  2. Commentator had me confused there "west broms goal difference is -1........ on the day" Was thinking how the fuck can a team be second with a goal difference of -1, have they lost a game 30-0!
  3. Well they can already do that without asking the Premier League or FA, what you're saying in essense is that you don't believe they should be able to sell their players. So then they go out og business entirely. Why should they be treated any differently to the likes of Ipswich who were allowed to sell players outside the transfer window in order to stop them going out of business? I don't think Ipswich should have been able to do it either. The rules are in place and I think they should be stuck to. The consequence of those rules, in this case, is extremely harsh but I think the integrity of the league is more important than one team. When West Ham survived relegation in place of Sheffield United it left a very bitter taste in the mouth. If the rules being broken lead to even a sniff of one team getting relegated in place of another or the title goes to a different place or even a European place being altered I think that stinks. I also doubt they will actually fail to exist any more. They have a large fan base. They may have to start from the bottom again but they will still exist in one form or another IMO.
  4. I think they should be allowed to sell their players. I also think any other club should not be allowed to register new players outside of the transfer window (It just seems unfair to the clubs who don't sign the extra players who end up getting relegated or failing to win something due to it). It's therefore worthless to be able to sell the players as other clubs will not be interested in them if they can't play them!
  5. Us putting in a reasonable offer and sticking to it, even though we miss out on the player, should do us no harm in the transfer market long term.
  6. He might be on his mobile, for some reason mine doesn't show up as being a phone, probably because I use Opera. yep posted via iPhone.
  7. Anyone know where our lot are drinking? Stuck in a crap old mans pub in the city centre!
  8. Jonas was both great and awful. Harewood was just consistently awful. Not a fan of the bloke but... Harewood played excellent through ball right at the start. Held the ball up well three times in the last five minutes.
  9. Please correct me if I am wrong but.... Say the fund raises £80,000,000 and makes that offer to Ashley. Ashley says na no thanks. The "Yes we can" campaign says oh well we tried lets return people money (minus 5%). They keep £4,000,000 as admin fees. What happens to that £4,000,000?
  10. Back in the days of standing... QPR had just beaten us. The QPR fans were in the Gallogate corner. There used to be these concrete dividers to stop the surge of people crushing the people at the front when we scored. One of the QPR fans was standing on a divider and really giving us some as we walked out. A fan beside me said "fuck that" and threw a coin almost directly up to get over the fence. The coin came down, smacked the bloke on the head and near knocked him off. One hell of a shot. Away to, Peterbourgh (I think) a fan decided to eat his way into a can of beer by biting the side. He cut up his mouth pretty badly, muppet.
  11. I just don't get it. Travel all that way then sit on your hands for 90 minutes. When I go away I am so pissed by the kick off I don't shut up for ninety minutes! This is probably a bit arrogant but, they must travel with hope of a win but probably expecting to lose, even so when we go to Liverpool and Manchester we'd still sing.
  12. Could see the posh seats empty but figured they would not be that many since they are twice the size! By the way I think the atmosphere in the ground is so much better than a couple years ago. The negative songs aside, which are not my cup of tea but hey ho, there was a good level of singing throughout the game. I remember taking a non nufc friend to a game a few years back and being quite embarrassed by the silence. The singing today was quality, despite Peterbourgh being very quiet.
  13. Far better side. They were poor throughout. Only time they were in game is when we took foot off pedal.
