  1. People talking about the Arena site like it’s on top of the Cheviot and getting there on foot would be a feat of human endeavour compared to strolling to SJP. Ooooh. How could I have a pint at Rosie’s if I’ve got to put my mountaineering kit on and trek all the way down to the Arena. Will there be Sherpa’s to guide the way ? Regardless of whether it’s a viable site for a football stadium or not, it’s still a large city centre site, close to transport links and a plethora of peeve & bait options
  2. Sad indictment of the modern times when people are making a short stroll to the Arena site feel like it’s a trek over the Andes
  3. 40,000 gets proudly announced on the tannoy Leicester immediately start singing about empty seats The makems are utter fuckwits ABSOLEWT FEWLS
  4. As a reference point on how valuable non-footy events could be, Fender's 2 x SJP gigs generated an estimated £15m for the Newcastle economy
  5. I thought Beamish had already baggsied taking Leazers Terrace when it gets relocated, there’ll be absolute Victorian-era hell on if they’ve been gazumped The Friends of Leazers Terrace Chair will be getting whipped with a birch and forced to work as a pit pony
  6. If you’re Dan Ashworth why even do that and open yourself up to a potential court case that could ruin your reputation Meeting them whilst on gardening leave immediately gives NUFC reason to investigate and the onus would be on Ashworth and Man Utd to prove nothing happened If he doesn’t meet or contact them, he has nothing to worry about
  7. An injunction to stop him doing work for them whilst still employed by us Damages if we can prove he caused us to lose out commercially His reputation being ruined in the football industry
  8. If we were to encourage younger supporters into the ground they absolutely have to be able to gather together in large numbers An 18 year old won't achieve much atmosphere by winning a single ticket in a ballot and getting told to shut up and sit down by miserable old codgers who've sat in the same seat for 30 years
  9. It's employment law that he'd be breaching by working for them whilst on gardening leave. Man Utd would have to prove to a judge that Ashworth didn't breach his covenants and we'd have to prove that he did. It'd be our lawyers vs their lawyers in a court, nothing the FA could do about that.
  10. I agree completely with your theory. But then you watch a Man City game and it's so quiet you can hear the players shouting to each other. And the giant LED boards and flashing LED stairs constantly distract your eyesight from the pitch. And the announcer shouting players names as they get off the team bus makes you cringe. And the Tunnel Club just feels daft, watching players line up from behind the glass like they're animals in a zoo. But the tourists still lap it up in their front row seats, filming it all on their phones whilst sitting in silence proudly wearing their 1/2 & 1/2 Manchester derby scarves.
  11. George Graham’s Arsenal won fuckloads of silverware with a negative xG They actually scored more goals than they created chances Bet that melts the statto’s brains
  12. I had an xG of 0.87 on a night out last night, chatted up loads of lasses but they all fobbed me off cos I’m a nerd and I went home alone for a Pot Noodle and a wank My pal had an xG of 0.04 but was balls deep all night in a Raleigh Burner, she was a proppa glamma thing So I win yeah ?
  13. They’re bad, they’re bad, they’re really really bad Shaaaaamone
  14. Is it feasible that the xG on Foden’s shot was so high that it left the atmosphere?
  15. Agreed. The club could approach it In simple terms: If you want to stand and sing we’ve set up areas in a number of stands so go here, here, or there. If you want to sit and don’t fancy singing you’re catered for too, just go here, here, or there If you want to slag the players off like a miserable cunt get yourself to Sunderland where’ll you’ll be in like minded company and can choose from thousands of empty seats
  16. Shite weather doesn’t explain why season ticket holders turn up only wanting to vent anger at our players As soon as the whistle blows they’re slagging and complaining Last 2 games I’ve had exactly that same experience in Gallowgate middle and Leazes lower
  17. Not blaming them for the shite atmosphere but two middle aged blokes brought their freshly poured pints with them at kick off, fully expecting to be able to slurp from their seats Must never have been in the stands at football before
  18. Our lot will happily stand before the game and at half time, but woe betide anyone who tries to stand once the ref blows his whistle
  19. Was in Gallowgate middle for Luton and it was rancid Leazes lower today, absolute dogshit Gallowgate West Corner was decent for the 2 games I’ve been there this season Leazes West Corner was decent against Milan Milburn Paddocks, dogshit Strawberry Corner, the promised land
  20. I had 2 seasons in there 20 year ago and wanted to kill the master tactician manager in the seat behind me, so I moved before it got fatal He’s probably still sat there, outsmarting Pep Guardiola from the stands
  21. I’ve got an IPhone, need to be beyond Sandyford to stand any chance of getting a signal on match day
  22. Ok. I’ll allow pies. But nowt else.
  23. Samsung on 3G mode is the trick for phone signal apparently 1-1 against Milan, 10 mins to play, I look down and the woman in the row in front is sat scrolling though pictures of her mates Xmas trees on Facey B and checking the Irish lottery results Waste of a ticket, both lottery and match
  24. Aye, it’s definitely not new. That’s the major problem, these fuckers have been going for years and years and the club has moved on but they haven’t Through bad times and now the good, the miserable and disinterested have been sat there In “their” seat, pouring scorn from the minute the match kicks off
