  1. I’d prefer current location, but with a bigger stadium that wasn’t lopsided But can’t see it being possible given site restrictions and lack of short term ground share Moving into Leazers Park area doesn’t really affect location, so I’d be very happy with that Moving to Arena site (unlikely) is so close to current site that whilst it’s a new location I’d be happy Out of town location (hopefully unlikely), I’d find that difficult to accept And the current stadium was impressive 20+ years ago but now is very dated and tired Even if the very least you want is to get through a turnstile quickly, have a piss & get a drink, these are all a pain in the arse currently Plus the acoustics are shite, you can’t even see the whole ground from back and east corner of Gallowgate and we desperately need to move people to get like minded folk together and get more standing
  2. xG proves it isn’t 3.24 Tears - 4.73 No Tears
  3. Their star striker scored a hatty at Old Trafford
  4. If I was Dibling’s old man I’d be telling him to pull them socks up and taking a set of shears to his fringe And if he gave me any lip he’d get grounded and his phone taken off him
  5. Southampton definitely looking like the better side Man Utd playing like they’re all on ket
  6. Quality of the football in the first 10 mins of Man Utd vs Southampton is woeful Both teams look very scrappy and evenly matched Which is nice
  7. He played a couple of other depressing tunes at Bromley HT too, struggling to remember what they were but at the time I recall thinking that DJ Onedek definitely wasn’t feeling in the mood for a party
  8. It wasn’t intended to be a direct comparison of NUFC with Spurs, for the reasons you mention, a stadium in London will always get more non-football £’s than one up here Those figures were a response to someone saying “how’s it gone for Spurs” and the facts are it’s gone really well financially, they just don’t invest the massively increased revenue in improving the squad because Levy is a doylem And someone else asked how Spurs stadium revenue had changed from the end of the White Hart Lane era and the answer is they’re getting close to trebling the £’s
  9. Adios amigo You tried hard, scored a few worldies, only had one foot, were often frustrating, but I never doubted your attitude Hasta la vista, baby
  10. I’m in the corner a lot and it was fine tonight where I go (a few rows down from Heron and more a bit more central) People were singing most of the game and very few quiet moments It wasn’t shit, but it wasn’t bouncing either. Probably what you’d expect from playing Wolves midweek in January
  11. It's not fair and Forest shouldn't have been deducted points for being ambitious and wanting to become a decent side Same as we shouldn't be threatened with punishment for wanting to build a squad to try and challenge for silverware on a regular basis But that's the world the cartel have created and until something major changes, we must live by their rules or take their punishment
  12. That'll be the same club that had a points deduction for overspending and as a result survived relegation on the final day by the skin of their teeth. Amirite ?
  13. In terms of the financials related to their new stadium: Tottenham Hotspur stadium is a money-printing machine. The numbers released by Tottenham finally shows the financial power of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at something closer to the stadium’s full financial capability, a phenomenon that has been depressed and delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Matchday receipt income went up from £106.1m in 2022 to £117.6m in 2023, while commercial revenue, which would include non-football events like concerts, non-football sporting events, and other activities, leaped from £183.5m to £227.7m. With Tottenham having already appealed to Haringey Council to increase the number of non-football events its allowed to host for next year, that number is expected to go up significantly in the future. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is now a London destination for not only football, but NFL, boxing, concerts, rugby, and other activities. People love to go there, and they spend a lot of time and money inside the stadium. In short, the stadium generates TONS of revenue, both on and off matchday — and that money gets reinvested into the club in a virtuous cycle. As a comparison in their last year at White Hart Line they brought in £45m in match day revenue vs the £117.6m for 2023. Whereas their on field issues are a result of them having an absolute helmet in charge of the club. As an example they have the lowest wages to turnover ratio in the Premier League, which is ridiculous for a club that has CL aspirations
  14. If it was Ashley involved in a new stadium decision he'd have us playing in the car park of Shirebrook with Slazenger jumpers for goalposts
  15. Sadly, football is all about the finances If we want to be truly competitive then the emotion has to come second to the money I'm not saying that's right, in fact it depresses me that it's the situation, but that's the reality of modern football and being in a league that has allowed a cartel to pull the drawbridge up
  16. It's not about a chain reaction, the hard facts are you need to increase all 3 to be competitive. And increase all 3 at the same time And staying at SJP will limit our ability to increase 1 of the 3 streams. Whilst our ground has an amazing city centre location, that's also it major weak point due to the environmental limitations that restrict its expansion If you look purely at maximising every aspect of our income potential then staying at SJP makes very little sense financially, it's an emotional decision
  17. What I see from that graph is: Our matchday revenue is way behind the cartel clubs As is our commercial revenue And our broadcast revenue We need to increase all 3 streams to become genuinely competitive So we need more revenue being generated by the stadium. Which we'll struggle to do if we stay / renovate at SJP. For starters, match day revenue would drop for some critical years as we significantly reduce capacity during stadium renovation We need more commercial revenue. Which we'll do by being successful and getting more sponsors. But to be more successful we need more total revenue We'll get more broadcast revenue by being more competitive and getting more merit money, again, success is driven by commercial and match day revenue How does staying at SJP help our commercial position ?
  18. We need these two to film an episode at SJP. They'd have our options sorted toot suite
  19. All well and good if you don't mind putting up with: 1) working within some major design limitations due to the surrounding buildings / infrastructure at the current site 2) a reduced capacity for a number of seasons, at a time when we're going through the best period on the pitch for 30 year and ticket demand is huge 3) the negative financial implications of point 2 4) the negative implications for match going fans of point 2
