  1. The total number of seats available across all listed sections is: 1,116 seats It's rising faster than my pants when I watch "Best of Cindy Beale" on YouTube.
  2. Ginger doesn't stay anywhere for more than 3 years, so him leaving is aligned with the all the other jobs he's done in his career to date.
  3. I don’t think it should continue. It’s a seat in a football stadium, not a family heirloom. And that’s not because I want a season ticket. It’s simply that I don’t believe in nepotism. Personally I’d give first dibs on any new ST’s to 18-25’s. And I’m not in that age bracket.
  4. You don't even need to die to pass your ST on, I know of two lads whose nanna's are alive and kicking but wanted to stop going to games so passed their tickets on to their grandsons in the last 12 months. Just changed the name and all sorted. They're like family heirlooms. We've got a generation of nepo-fans coming through.
  5. Agree that it's a dreadful precedent. However, as others have said, it's the 35,000 who have guaranteed tickets for the game that should be the ones we can rely on for creating an atmosphere. There's more than double the amount of ST's than members and in the clubs eyes they're our most highly regarded fans, so they should take it upon themselves to do what's needed.
  6. 15,000 tickets have been sold. We just want to know how they were distributed. How many were allocated to the ballot ? Can they be confident that these were won by accounts owned by real fans, not touts. How many were allocated to the general sale ? And if it was thousands of tickets and they were hoovered up by a few hundred people, has the club looked into those accounts to ensure they're real people not touts with bots. How many haven't been placed in either general sale or ballot ? And who are those tickets being made available to. If I miss out on a ticket because another genuine match-going Newcastle fan has got one ahead of me through the normal process, then that's fine. I can live with that. But if I miss out on a ticket because NUFC isn't willing to secure its ticket buying process to stop touts getting tickets, then I think I've got a right to kick off about that.
  7. Imagine this scenario, if you will... We get to the Champs League semis against Real Madrid. NUFC knows that they can charge a fortune for hospitality tickets and the demand is huge, for PSR reasons they want tens of thousands of these high price tickets to be available for sale. They decide that selling high price tickets is a higher priority than keeping season ticket holders happy. So season ticket holders are told the cup scheme doesn’t apply for this game. You can enter a ballot to get a ticket but we’re not telling you how many tickets are available. If you don’t get one in the ballot you can enter an online sale, but we’re not telling you how many tickets are available in that either. Season ticker holders fail in the ballot. Season ticket holders join the online sale and all tickets are sold out by 400th place in the queue. How are our season ticket holders feeling about the prospect of that ? Because that’s what’s happened to members this week.
  8. @LFEE 1. Is definitely a non starter. Why ? It’s the easiest of all the suggestions to do and it stops touts signing up at any point in the season. If a “real” fan doesn’t have the common sense to buy a membership in the windows, then they can't be very serious about attending games. 3. Good idea though not sure how you check that ID at turnstiles to match owner. It links to point I made about ticket transfers, if you can’t unofficially transfer tickets to 3rd parties then very few people are at the turnstile with a ticket that doesn’t officially belong to them 4. Pros n cons. Thinking of families and groups of friends. Not ruling it out entirely, just limited the numbers. Along the lines of 1 x member can buy a ticket for 3 x linked members, maximum. 5. Not sure if that is always the case but definitely could be encouraged more by the club. If they’re doing more, it needs to be more visible. What are they doing about the 100’s of derby tickets on 3rd party sites right now ? 6. Fair enough but equally there is no gain in outrage when we know the club need to maximise its income opportunities at the current stadium. I don’t understand your point. We have c15,000 non-ST tickets, why the secrecy about how they’re being sold ?
  9. There’s effectively no choice if you want to go to any Newcastle games at all under your own steam (not an ST transfer ticket) then you have to pay the ticket tax. They’ve got us by the bollocks. They’ll be making so much money off bot accounts that a few hundred, maybe thousand, ordinary punters not renewing won’t make a difference. Are you willing to give up going to any games next season for the sake of £40-50 quid ? Most people’s answer is no. We've shown time and time again that we’re a docile fan base who would never protest in numbers big enough to make a real difference.
  10. They were season ticketed up to the eyeballs. We are the Geordies, The Geordie knobheads, Oh we love money and we talk loud, We are the loyalist football supportaz the world has ever had.
  11. If I’d paid £720 for a ticket I wouldn’t want to be sat directly under the away fans for a variety of reasons. Also, I wonder how it feels to look around you and realise that your seat is exactly the same ones as the £55 seats in the blocks next door and you’ve effectively paid £665 for a plate of scran at a mid-tier chain restaurant. Your target customer for those tickets needs to be both wealthy and stupid.
  12. He’s always wearing leggings, does my fucking head in.
  13. Creased at this, not gonna lie Acid Lads Fans
  14. Even if the 300 odd people all bought 6 tickets each for linked accounts (unlikely if it was real people logging in not bots), that’s still only 1,800 tickets accounted for out of the 15,000 that should be available via ballot and resale. And it was sold out by position 475.
  15. Have you emailed NUFC to ask for an explanation ? The fuckers have got some explaining to do about why someone that low in the queue couldn’t get a ticket. They were still emailing over the weekend to remind people of the 10am sale, which was a waste of fucking time if less than 400 people got sorted either due to a tiny allocation or bots having a field day. I’ve heard via the NUST that someone has contacted them that was at 300 in the queue couldn’t get a ticket
  16. Same. I'm sure I'm not the only member who's spending upwards of £1500 every season on tickets, yet they treat us like we're of no value at all to them.
  17. Has any other club in the whole entire world ever released official merch that details every aspect of a narrow 1-0 win in a mid season league game where the only goal was an own goal ? I strongly suspect they might be the most deranged football club on the planet.
  18. My response from Supporter Services was also that cut n paste job already posted to say the queue is random and demand was high. And I'm like, nah, not good enough. I've replied again saying you need to explain to punters why there were no tickets left for queue positions in the mid to high hundreds when normally a queue position of 3000ish gets a decent chance. Either you massively reduced the general sale allocation, or the first 700ish queue positions were able to hoover up several thousand tickets. Which one was it ? They treat us like we're fucking mugs.
  19. Membership purchase windows: June-Aug and Dec-Jan. For high profile games: Extensive ballot entry history / purchase history. Not just a month and 1 x ballot entry. For high profile games: Priority for verified membership. Upload ID to your account and prove who you are and you get a better chance of a ticket. For high profile games: Limit the number of tickets that can be bought on behalf of linked accounts. Touting site crackdown: People on here have given them the details of tickets that were bought via sites and NUFC weren't interested. Transparency: For each game, publish approx. number of tickets going into ballot vs number in general sale. Why are they so reluctant to do this, it just creates suspicion and it isn't sensitive info. Membership scheme: Allow members to build up recognition for how long they've been a member, number of ballots entered, tickets bought etc. If demand is high for a game, use this to prioritise over new members with no history. Transfers: Tickets can only be shared via an official club transfer, they can't be emailed to a 3rd party. Limit the number of transfers each member can make. NUFC can then at least track transfers and spot potential touts. And that's just off the top of my head
  20. I was specifically thinking of examples like the Head of Ticketing standing in front of fans giving a presentation where he said things like "We're doing everything we possibly can to stop touting" All whilst offering unlimited, unvetted, low cost memberships all season long. So anyone that gets banned for touting can just sign back up again using a different email address. That's NUFC being complicit in my view. They're not willing to take a key step needed to help genuine fans and reduce touting because they'll lose some bunce if they implement membership purchase windows. Can they be so incompetent at their jobs that they wouldn't realise the part that unlimited, unvetted memberships play in giving touts access ?
