I feel like Man Utd are on one of those runs clubs sometimes get where they could fall into a barrel of thumbs and come out sucking a tit.

It’s a genuine concern for our future support. Only realistic way for a younger person to have an ST is if a parent also has one and took them along as a kid pre-Oct 21. Or there’s a very slim chance of getting one because granda jacks his in and passes it on to grandson. So if your family don’t have ST’s you’ve got no chance. It’s ticketing nepotism. And no ST means no away games. Also even as a younger member going to home games: the price of tickets, the demographics in the ground, the fact you can rarely get a seat with more than one other person. It’s all geared towards older match goers.

Aye, it’s completely wrong if some middle aged blokes who went to loads of aways 20 year ago and rarely bother now but are still sitting on loads of points accumulated two decades ago are blocking the progress of 18-25 year olds who want to go to loads of aways but either cant get an ST or if they have one they can’t build up the points. And how’s an 18-25 year old supposed to get to away games unless their parents are also match goers who got them on the ladder with an ST as a youth. The whole system is fucked and as with anything related to tickets at NUFC is designed to benefit older people and the people who were willing to continue to give their money to Ashley. It’s a two tier system of haves and have nots and it reeks. Especially for younger fans, they’re getting fucked over really badly. We’re stifling an entire generation.

Maybe the club have said to his agent that if we get a strong bid we’re up for selling. So the agent is now drumming up interest so we can get rid for a decent price. Just a thought.

I also was addicted to FM in the mid to late 90’s and early 00’s and am both excited and concerned about the answer to this question. If the answer is “yes” that probably triggers divorce in a few months time. But upside will be I’ll have taken Charlton Athletic to Champions League glory. -
Sandro ole ole ole Sandro ole ole ole Midfield maestro He wants to go Sandro ole ole ole

It's much easier for the miserable cunts to doom monger and then say "I told you so" when things go bad, because if things go good no one cares who said what because things are going good. Being a perma-misery Chicken Little gobshite is the equivalent of always putting a safety bet on for Newcastle to lose.

Apparently he's been heard telling family who visit from Italy that he'll pick them up from Ponteland Airport.

Rumour on the Whatsapp groups is that his pewter tankard with "I drink Moretti" engraved on it is no longer on the shelf behind the bar in the Job Bulman.

I gave up when I go to the bit about Ryan Giggs.

He’s effectively saying “please click on my Twatter post so I can show my gaffer that I’ve hit my engagement KPI’s for this week”

That’s the worst post anyone’s ever made ever, can’t believe how bad it is, complete waste of time reading it, you’ve ruined the entire forum with that comment.

We don’t demand a team that wins we demand a team that tries ! We don’t demand a team that wins we demand a team that can break into the cartel ! We don’t demand a team that wins we demand a team that wants to win the league ! We don’t demand a team that wants to win the league by 2030, we demand a team that wins the league at some point but not by then ! PIF have no ambition. Woe is me. PIF: we want to be No 1 by 2030 ! PIF have unrealistic ambition. Woe is me. We want a bigger better new stadium but we don’t want to leave St James’ Park, our city centre location that’s surrounded by existing buildings, some listed. We want it to be a perfect stadium. Well thought out and sensitive to our needs. But it has to be in the city centre, close to loads of existing buildings, some listed. We’re not comprising on that. Why haven’t we got our big improved perfectly designed and city centre located new stadium yet ?
-
You’ll not know if it was a mistake to say we’ll be No 1 by 2030 until we get to the end of 2029. I’d suggest that saying in early 2026 that we’ll not be No 1 by 2030 is equivalent to blowing your beans before you’ve even got past the fingerblasting phase. And ladies don’t like that. Well not the ones I know anyway.

How come the East Stand regulars were in their seats during your tour ?

I didn't write the bit in italics, it was TCD. I was just referencing it as an example of TCD having a strong opinion and then that opinion being presented as a fact. When it's not a fact, it's an opinion.
-
Nope. The only people who know for sure are the people who work in player recruitment at NUFC. You're being dumb, taking the things you read as gospel. Unless you're on the inside at NUFC, or unless someone at NUFC comes out in public and details the club transfer process, then anything else is just speculation based on reading details in the media. A media that exists to generate clicks, not educate the world on the NUFC transfer process. We didn't have a DOF, that's a fact. The rest is just opinions. And I think speculation and opinion is absolutely fine, just don't present it as fact when you're not party to the facts.

Anyone who sits at the far end of the spectrum, either positive or negative, is almost certainly incapable of thinking rationally. And they should check themselves before they wreck themselves. Somewhere near the middle is best. Some might be slightly more negative, some might be slightly more positive but they can all view the situation with balance.
-
No I’m not. You’re making assumptions about how we and other clubs handle recruitment decisions and presenting them as if you have the facts and you know for sure what’s happening on the inside of top flight football clubs. The truth is often what we make of it, you heard what you wanted to hear, believed what you wanted to believe.
-
Arteta, Chelsea manager, Pep, Slot, Spurs manager, Brighton Manager, Brentford manager, Emery - none of these managers and coaches have the responsibility of picking their signings as Howe did. There’s a good reason for that. The defendant presented opinion as fact. Case closed your honour.
-
A thread about some people being far too negative in threads turns into a thread where some people are being far too negative.
-
The point I was making was that you were presenting your personal opinions and theories as if they're facts. They're not facts. They're your opinions. You're not on the inside.
-
How do you know with such certainty that Eddie Howe has the responsibility of picking the signings ? And that other managers have much less responsibility ? Are you on the inside at NUFC, observing the recruitment process ? And on the inside at other clubs observing their recruitment processes ? You do know that a lot of what is written about signings and targets and links and offers and approaches and rebuffs is either totally fabricated, or it's put out there by agents and selling clubs with an agenda don't you ? The only people who know how our recruitment process works are the people involved in the process. And unless I'm massively mistaken, you're not one of them. You're just a punter on an online forum.
