Really looking forward to seeing how this works. Said this after the Cardiff game. It relieves Hatem of all defensive duty and if he gets isolated with a centre back you would back Hatem to do more than Cisse would. Pardew is always saying that Hatem is like our Suarez, well lets see what he can do in that role. Worst case scenario it doesn't work and we just switch him with Gouffran and put him back on the right.

Really hope he starts but can't say I'm confident of that. With Remy un-droppable currently and Pardew singling Gouffran out for special praise it's looking like bench duty once more.

I know that sounds desperately negative especially for a home game but we simply have to protect the defence. In that 0:6, the amount of space all over the pitch for Liverpool was incredible.

Mapou Taylor and Debuchy were all part of the defence that played in the horror show last year. But with Colo injured? (also has a history of struggles against Suarez ) with Williamson the only other option. We don't really have much we can do. Basically hope any combination of Taylor, Williamson and Mapou have amazing games and hope the midfield and fullbacks protect them properly this time.
