  1. Completely secondary to anything and not the reason we lost but that added on time. Ok I felt it should be more but fine 4 mins added, but atleast 3 of those we were then waiting while Spain players just lay on the floor acting and then he blew exactly on the dot at 94. When you consider we have scored 95th min equalisers already this tournament, that is some bullshit. But whatever, Southgate is still a fraud and we got to another final in spite of him. Negative hesitant management once again.
  2. Walker is so arrogant with his pace. Always out of position and assumes he can get back until he can't and hen he costs goals like that.
  3. This reminds me of the Bruce narrative when he left. The "stick" has been blown out of proportion massively this tournament in particular. If you play shit then people are going to call it shit. You make a good tactical change like he finally did tonight, you're going to get praised. Simple really. If they can't handle a little criticism then they should walk away.

The consistency of avoiding the best teams until we eventually lose to one we face helps aswell.
  5. Kanes been like playing with 10 all game. Southgate is a piece of shit man. So reactive not proactive.
  6. Kane standing still every time Saka put a cross in the box on those highlights. What's up with him.
  7. This would look so much better if they just swapped Saka and Trippier. Wtf Southgate.

I'm torn. On one hand I felt really sorry for Trippier getting rinsed to pieces by fans and pundits of other teams making out he is worse than shit. All of them forgetting that if played on the right he is infinitely better than Kyle Walker on the ball. But he should never play left back and that's on Southgate not Kieran. On the other, if he plays on the right today and struggles aswell, because it's been awhile since we have seen the form he started last season in, he's going to get dogs abuse worse than before.
  9. Yeah can see why he's been getting the criticism back in France. Like Southgate, he has an abundance of attacking talent and yet both seem to have their teams playing with the handbrake on.
  10. Felt all tournament that defensively the French look really strong. If they get their attack and Mbappe cooking then they should probably win this whole thing.
  11. Pace of this already compared to anything we've seen from England.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

    I wouldn't trust that account 😂
  13. Time to sell was probably last summer coming off his good scoring season. Was always going to be 2nd choice to Isak moving forward and then ofcourse the injury issues, which reared their head once again. He might still perform in the odd game here and there if we keep him but I'd rather we banked as much as we could from a sale and got a fit, healthy, understudy for Isak.

Walker has been poor aswell. Poor defensively and offers nothing on the ball. Trippier would be far better on the right on the ball.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

No chance of top 4 if we had sold any of Isak, Gordon or Bruno aswell so it's shite either way. Hopefully they have done enough to meet their deficit and we can still invest this summer because we are still a few players/positions short of mounting a challenge for top 4. We need better luck with injuries this year also.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

The worst bit about all this for me is the idea we were actively peddling Gordon to Liverpool? He's our player of the season and along with Isak, probably our most important player to keep hold of moving forward. Yet we got in such a mess that we potentially were willing to shove him out the door to (hopefully this season) a rival in the league? Really hope that doesn't mess with his head or loyalty to us in the coming season. Plus someone mentioned his contract actually ends in 2026?

Not unless you want to be utterly frustrated with the groundhog day feeling.
  18. Atleast we have the semblance of an attacking line up with people in correct positions now. Unless Gareth reverts to defence now and subs in some extra midfielders. No idea what he has against Gordon. Game was crying out for him.
  19. How does he not see his shit system doesn't work. Been obviously to everyone for 4 games now. Foden and Trippier left fundamentally does not work.
  20. It is a shame. Was looking forward to him potentially being in the squad this year taking the next step in his development. It is what it is unfortunately, if we had been able to move Almiron on sooner then he might have been able to keep him, but I guess if you are presenting me with a choice of: A) Sell Anderson and Minteh who potentially might develop into real talents one day, especially Minteh, or B) Sell Gordon or Isak who are already established world class talents. Then it's A every time obviously. But will still be a shame we didn't get to see this lad develop in the black and white stripes.
  21. I think we can spend this summer now, but what seems clear, is if we don't over achieve and get maybe top 4 again or get some really good sponsorship deals to add in, we likely need to sell someone important next summer. However, if we don't get Europe, we likely will have Bruno, Isak and even Gordon agitating for a move away anyways.
  22. So is it likely true we were £60m or thereabouts short before these sales? Seems crazy that and now makes sense that they were trying to get takers for Gordon, Isak, Bruno potentially if we were that deep. On one hand they have seemingly done well to sell two less established players for the amounts they needed, on the other, it feels a little like something must have gone seriously wrong in their forecasting of last season to be that far off. Even the most optimistic fan would probably have predicted a bit of a drop off last season compared to the one previous. So if they didn't plan for the worst case scenario to cover themselves then someone has messed up.

    Anthony Elanga

Assume this deal is off now or was perhaps never on. But I agree I think Elanga looks a limited player. Pace and not much else. His finishing looked very erratic and should have had more goals for the opportunities his pace enabled him. If we are just signing people because they had a good game against us and Dan Burn then Luton's Ogbene is probably another that looked like a world beater. Would be fine as a cheap squad player but not a game changer to take us forward. We need to be going all out for a top quality RW if finance permits moving forward.
