  1. Carragher giving it the "he's properly not as good as people think he is" anything to lower that price eh?
  2. Don't want. No one else is ever paying that sort of money for this guy. We will take a massive hit if we ever want to sell him on in future. There has to be better solutions still available.
  3. Yeah. When you really sit back and think about this whole thing and remove all the bluster and noise from the media it's really ridiculous. For a good few months in the middle of the season last year he was the best striker on the planet. It is widely known that there are very few elite strikers around currently and coupled with the fact we have 3 years on his contract, have no replacement. The asking price should be £200m really. I mean that's fuck off money being quoted but effectively that was the message we were sending out this summer to rivals. Fuck off he's ours. So for him to cause the drama and issues he has and for Liverpool to pretend to be an innocent party on all this and then think they could just lowball to get him for cheaper than a midfielder from the Bundesliga was just insulting. Then everyone in the press saying we should just deal at a lower price because "you can't keep an unhappy player" etc. is exactly what they all wanted to happen. For us to no our place and make the situation so toxic that we financially and performatively fuck ourselves just to satisfy the desires of one player. It shouldn't be allowed and fingers crossed we don't crumble at the last moment and give in to all the pressure. We need to channel that anger about this whole situation into Liverpool tonight and show them we aren't just a small club to push around. We are every bit their rivals and can beat them on our day as proven in the cup final.
  4. Cunha looked great again for Man U the first 15 mins but then seemed to fade out the game. That chance he took out the sky was perfect up until the finish. I do remember up until last season, when it all seemed to click, his finishing was what used to let him down. Would do amazing work leading up to it but then used to fluff his lines alot.
  5. Impressive. Have to admit my football gaming days have slowed down considerably so i'd never heard of this guy either. Glad it seems spurs aren't getting him then.
  6. Got a feeling he'll start Murphy for this one. Use Elanga's pace off the bench. I'd also start Osula. Just try and get him to cause chaos with his pace and unpredictability. Maybe Gordon left and Barnes on after 60.
  7. Yamal has potential. He's doing more impressive things already than Messi or Ronaldo did at a similar age. Both of those developed to phenomenal levels in their 20's however, so remains to be seen if he has that growth. Also the game is different now and less physical than when Messi and Ronaldo were teenagers so players seem to be getting minutes at much younger ages (Dowman and Nwaneri debuting at 15 for Arsenal).
  8. This is why I never get too overly annoyed with Pope's kicking as maybe some do, because the bread and butter for keepers needs to be to atleast command your area and be dominant on crosses. Pope never seems to fail in that department.
  9. There's the blueprint for Liverpool tomorrow if any of our players breathe on them in the box.
  10. Fuck me do we have to get the biased cunt Neville on every Man U game.
  11. Forest's squad looking strong now.
  12. Yeah just don't let Salah freely create and you nullify a good portion of their attack. Annoys the shit out of me when I see teams just sit off and allow him to ping perfect passes into the box etc. Also yeah Tino needs to be on him like glue especially on the those long over the top counter attacks. He has the pace to match him.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Prefer him to anyone else we're currently linked to. However if he wants to leave Atletico for more gametime.....what happens if Isak kisses and makes up and starts playing again? He'll have swapped the bench in Madrid for the bench with us. Might be seeking assurances. To be fair i'd just give them to him, we have no idea if Isak will even play again so have to cover ourselves.
  14. I think it is. Been plenty of years where it feels like the bottom 3 could beat the top 3 on their day. But we're getting further and further away from that. Hope I'm wrong just don't see the top 4 dropping many points other than when they are are playing eachother or perhaps the odd game against someone in the top 8.
  15. Gonna see alot of these sort of games unfortunately. The top 4 squads are absolutely stacked. The bottom half teams won't be able to compete.
  16. Fucking name the employee who told you that then...you either can't because it didn't happen or you can't because it was likely Paul Mitchell and he isn't here anymore.
  17. Again though I don't disagree but you called it a good window if we get a back up striker. My only point of contention was calling it an "unreal" window when in reality it would just be an "ok to good" one.
  18. I get that, but I was refering to description of "unreal" compared to ok-good. To me unreal would have been getting in all our first choices and dramatically improving the first team. What we have done is improve on some of our 2nd choices and one starter in Elanga. Although we have to wait and see if he can better the season Murphy just had. Ramsdale was a back up option to Trafford and likely will be 2nd choice to Pope. Thiaw I would be stunned if he was our first choice CB target. Clearly Guehi was ahead of him and possibly the likes of Scalvini etc. He has potential but again is likely to be 2nd choice behind Schar atleast for now. Ramsey was a good opportunistic signing potentially, but again likely to be 2nd choice to our starting midfield 3. Then obviously the big elephant in the room is the striker situation which ofcourse will tank any progress elsewhere if we come out the window empty handed.
  19. Nah I'm just surprised. Haven't heard his name in a while and whenever he played for Wolves he was anonymous.
  20. Really? Dortmund want Fabio Silva? The guy who has flattered to deceive since forever?
  21. I was just messing around.
  22. Keep seeing this sort of thing but it's not really true is it? We've bought some ok players but none of them are game changing and by all accounts weren't necessarily our first choices.
  23. Good to see we have moved on to outgoings now that incomings are sorted.
  24. He's everyone's agent. He's Isak's agent's agent.
  25. So if there miraculously are any decent backup strikers left ...Liverpool or Arsenal will probably snap them up before us then anyway? Excellent.
