Wayne Routledge signs 3 year deal with Swansea

lktmpl, your original point was sound - don't let madras wind you up and degrade your original point, that's his sole purpose in this particular instance. -

There's a lot of hard work in becoming a professional athlete but it's equal parts luck and who you know as well. -
Throwing around three match bans for bad tackles is a bit ridiculous, imo. Bans should only come in for excessively violent or dangerous conduct. I don't think anyone is really talking about "bad tackles" in the box. When I hear "last-man foul" I see them blatantly trying to stop an almost for-sure goal (regardless of how cynical the challenge is). If you get the tackle right the stakes are just as high as getting it wrong. Don't go in for it if you're not ready to deal with the outcome. It's a pretty simple rule (and rightly in place). If you soften this rule you will see many more over the top/cynical challenges hacking down guys in and around the box. If you're the last man and you get the tackle wrong you are rightly sent for an early bath.

Definitely the squad I would've started with.

all depends, if the person brings the player down deliberately then yes, but if their is a genuine attempt to go for the ball then it shouldn't be Wrong, get the tackle the right and you won't have to be sent off.

Would recommend the Strawberry as well. Not that I live in Newcastle, but I have been before and enjoyed a pint there and thought it was good - and it's directly across from the steps of SJP. I think when Toonlass mentioned that it was a "tourist experience" she meant more along the lines of it just being a great experience if you're passing through, not that it's like a TGI Fridays or something. I think it'd be well worth stopping in to grab a pint if you're okay dealing with crowds. Also, it's hard to miss the stadium, if I remember correctly it's got to be close to the tallest building there, it stands out like a (beautiful) sore thumb in the skyline.

Ferdinand got away with one of these tonight - they didn't even call a foul because I think the ref knew he would've had to send him off and it was within the first ten minutes or so.
-
Spent a lot of time on the deck unfortunately. Had a few one-on-ones and opted to take a foul rather than put Man U to the sword.
-
Milan all over Man U tonight and I for one am lovin' it. They are going to really rue those missed chances from earlier though. There were around four times where the ball should've been in the back of the net but for one reason or another it didn't end up there.

It's live on my FS Florida channel so I would check whichever Fox Sports channel is your local one to see if it's on there. I'm in NY and they're showing Lyon - Real on all of them(spanish, HD, and regular) I liked it when it was on ESPN. They had better judgment on which game people wanted to watch. They also showed another live game on the Spanish ESPN. I think ESPN still carries Champions League matches just not this round.

Would be down with this idea just due to the possibility of there no longer being the "big four." the only people who will be against this are teams who have the chance to finish fourth (arsenal/liverpool) and not see themselves in the CL.

Would be a horrible horrible idea to take this ruling out of the book.

If it's being shown in Britain and Canada, it'll be available "elsewhere" -
Max Bretos on FSC is. He also happens to be the worst commentator ever. Does he have a job anymore? Disappeared from the airwaves hasn't he? Not that I really miss him. Yeah I see him from time to time on the panel-type shows they have. Always grates my soul when talks about stuff and is blatantly wrong.
-
There's no way he'll be back here very long and it's unfortunately that almost everyone is so against him already. I think he's got a bit of class about him and could really come good but we won't be the club to help him with that I am almost positive.

Wouldn't surprise me. Their stadium (The Red Bull Arena) is going to be something else. Unfortunately it's in New Jersey - although directly across the street from a train station with direct access to NYC. Could be something good happening there.

How's it going for the players who left Newcastle?
cubaricho replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Don't be daft man. I'm not man, I dont say it lightly either. I put Dennis above a lot of players, but I think if Viduka had been arsed, and stayed fit he'd have been something exceptional. Definitely. People won't agree with you though because Bergkamp actually did something. -
Saha has to be so frustrating to have on your books. Can be fucking brilliant on his day but is injured more than Michael Owen.
