  1. Williamson would have to single-handedly cost us a match for me to drop him at this point. Absolute madness that people want Sol to walk into the team. We've spent almost an entire year building a partnership at center-back between Colo and Big Willy, why even attempt to mess that up?
  2. I really hate seeing Man U win, especially in that fashion, but I guess it helps us out in the end.
  3. It's hard to forget that Bolton aren't a cool team to hate anymore now that they actually play football. Also, Spurs are such babies when it comes to their attitudes. Their heads drop faster than any other team in the league and they start bickering with each other if things don't start and keep their way for the entire match. It's almost fun to watch in a really sad way.
  4. According to someone who apparently had talked to Hughton the issue isn't being offered a new contract, the issue is not being offered enough money for the job he's doing. He's using the extra time to prove he's worth the money that he wants. Supposedly the contract is already on the table but Wor Chris isn't happy with it.
  5. Just picture where we'd be had we beaten Blackpool, Stoke, Wolves, Wigan, or even City.

    MLS 2010

Was a good end to that match too, edge of your seat stuff.

    MLS 2010

Pretty good last 15 minutes or so to the NYRB/San Jose match.
  9. Would be the best option for his stock for sure, but as far as progressing his game goes it'd be a bit iffy.
  10. We only get it live for about 2 - 4 hours a day here (in hour blocks) so it doesn't seem that bad although it's always the same shit and the music does my head "THROUGH THE NIGHT!"
  11. I genuinely feel sorry for you mate!!, Sounds like a tramp begging for scraps of food My only chance to see the whole game unfortunately, if that makes me a tramp so be it. How come all the other yanks got to see it live then!? Couldn't tell you, wasn't shown at all in my area (Connecticut) either live or taped which is unusual. Can't speak for other areas of the US or other cable companies schedules. It was on Fox Soccer Plus which not all cable providers get but all pubs/bars usually will have it.
  12. Think it's more down to the player and not the manager tbh. Can't imagine Harry being a huge influence on the training ground. I picture him more of a SAF type manager - sitting in the office on the phone all day and letting his coaches take practice with the squad while occasionally standing on the touchline with an evil eye.
  13. Afraid he'll come back into the team when there's an injury to Williamson and then help Colo get back to his old form quick like by being a horrible influence on the backline. I don't particularly trust Stevie T at this point and if we got rid I wouldn't bat an eye.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'm thinking that if Marseilles is willing to sell right now (or in January) that we should take the offer and buy this guy. I think the risk is outweighed by the possibility that he'll still be as good.
  15. Bale is exactly what England need. What a shame.

tbh I think if Carroll and Shola actually form a good partnership it's Nolan who gets dropped. Ben Arfa Tiote Barton Jonas Shola Carroll Obviously though it depends on who's fit/in form when he comes back.
  17. I think the downside is that he won't be a Newcastle player at the start of next season.
  18. Gotta be the Spuds now, Rafa doesn't really figure into our "life" any more.
  19. Talk about putting your body on the line.
  20. Face it, we're not in the "big four" so we're not going to get the best coverage. It's fucking wank but it's the truth.
  21. He was also kind of shying away from the ball, more afraid of getting hit than anything (human nature). Could've had more conviction when coming for it but like I said earlier today, I doubt it's a mistake he'll make again.
  22. Will definitely take a draw here but I would take losing if we had a real go of it.

    Players in public

Would love to see a big group of them celebrating at a place like the pub (not that footballers go to pubs anymore).
