It would be a no brainer if you were only looking at the player's ability but I'll bet Cissokho will want at least 10k a week more than Pieters as well as the fee being higher. If that doesn't get the hierarchy running scared I don't know what will. Sorry if it was a bit unclear, what I meant was that if all the monetary factors (wages, fees etc.) were held constant and we were looking at ability alone, then Cissokho should definitely be the one to pursue. We're talking about a player who was linked to Barcelona not too long ago and one that I thought would be 'too good' to want to sign for us. If he wants to join us and is willing to accept a sensible wage (even if it would be higher than what Pieters would accept), then we should be busting a gut to get him through the door. 8 million euros for him would be a steal.

I'd much prefer Cissokho over Pieters, cracking player and very highly-rated. If they were both the same price this would be a no-brainer.

That was a very interesting read. Cheers

Lyon will accept the bid but, just like the other targets we've missed out on, he'll wait and see if a bigger club stumps up the same kind of money and go to them.

My reaction if he signs: http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x3/dumdum5555/Tumblr%20Gif/tumblr_lpulj6TNNA1qgid6k.gif

I think people on here underestimate Sunderland's midfield a tad. Don't get me wrong, it's not world-beating by any stretch of the imagination but potentially good enough to cause us a few problems, this, despite a distinct lack of pace on the left-hand side though. The winner will be who wants it more tomorrow, and who shows up. Hoping for yet another Sunderland capitulation.

People might make fun, but I've seen some clips of the lad on youtube and he looks really fast. Managed to build a conservatory in 2 weeks.

Yeah... Who the fuck are Lyon? All of you losers must be playing FM.
-
Those comments only serve to make us a less attractive proposition to potential signings. I respect what he's trying to do but, at the moment, his words are doing more harm to our progress than good. What he needs to do now is keep quiet.

Massive, massive coup if we get this lad in.

We should respond to all our emails with rage comic faces tbf. Mike's response to Liverpool's 35 million pound bid for Andy Carroll: http://files.sharenator.com/Aww_Yeah_meme_Meme_Faces_s250x196_156976_580_resurrection_s250x196_170614_580_resurrection-s250x196-170626-535.png

Sochaux fans seem to rate him quite highly.
-
Shayno, ability and style-wise who could you compare him to?
-
He's a bit up himself at times, but his judgement is usually spot on. Sorry RC.

Wearside: Is Gyan fit to play?
-
I'd be happy with either. Edit- Bendtner or Rodallega that is.
-
Good line up, I would go with that. Maybe if they dont play barton we'llgo willo colo CB , Taylor Rb and simpson LB with Jonas and Obertan on the wings. It'll be one of those 2 We be relatively happy with either of those given the circumstances. I think Willow, Barton and Ubertan will start on the bench though. That sounds like a racist jibe

Would walk into any team outside the top 6 and also into some in the top 6, no question about it. You will find out how good he is in 8 days time. He's a good player, I saw that from his time at PSG. Not quite sure he's as good as many of your counterparts are proclaiming though; however I'll be happy to take that back after seeing what he can do this season. What do you think your line-up will be for the derby btw?
-
Absolute shambles.
-
Would I take him? Yes, yes and yes. Will he want to come here? Probably not. Will we spend the required money to get him? Again, probably not.
