  1. Are you the one in level seven or the one I'm talking about ? Actually just re read you got pulled from the crowd so you must be the one from level 7 not the one I'm talking about. Nar mate, i'm the one from the middle tier. When i rather foolishly went down to try and 'calm the situation' he grabbed me and pushed me down 2 or 3 stairs and things got a bit more heated....
  2. They did mate, they know i don't go to create any aggro and i never even swear or not very loudly. With football being the way football is i have alot of older people and women near me (without meaning to sound sexist) and i respect that swearing won't relaly be appreciated by them. And by my last post, i wasnt meaning to sound hard or raj, just i got really wound up.
  3. It was tempting to punch him when he grabbed me by the scruff of the enck and pushed me down a few stairs, but i knew in the back of my mind it would be a canny sentence probably, and a banning order, as well as my new season ticket/card being a waste of 500quid. I was very pissed off and even more frustrated, i could feel it bubbling up inside but i couldn't let it out. A few of the people sat near me saw me get a bit more uncontrollable than usual. Normally i don't swear but after this i was effing and blinding all over the place. Stating that if supporting my club got any harder to do i would chuck my ticket/card...
  4. I would mate. More to the point, write to the club - the email address someone suggested or perhaps Gary Oliver, the press officer. The new regime, till they get taken over by Magnus Magnusson and his chums at least (), are very intent on improving the atmosphere and I'm sure they'd like to hear this. It's possibly the most stupid thing I've ever heard tbh. You could even give the Chronicle a shout if you felt really strongly about it. I agree, and on that point, one of the articles earlier int he week had alot of stuff written by me about the Toon Ultras. A select few of us ahve been in contact with the club too, so if we manage to get further as Toon Ultras I am sure this will be mentioned. In the short term i am aiming to write a letter to the police/club about the policing. As for the Harry Roberts song, i am totally against it. I have had relatives who were high up in the police force and they used to do the football when it really did need policing. I actually respect the police, but gradually as i get older and older i seem to lose respect when incidents like the one on Saturday occur. Just for the record, as also mentioned by Kane, flag poles were snapped and taken from other lads in Level 7 on Saturday, i am sure the Chronicle and the lieks would like to hear about that too...
  5. I was the fan with his dad getting told off by the police. And i got pushed down 2 or 3 stairs and threatened to be chucked out the ground while he ahd a hold of the scruff of my neck. I rather foolishly went down to calm the situation, and it backfired. I'm not a hooligan though, i just wanted to sing like i should be allowed to. Thanks for the backing lads. Also, i ahve the numebrs of the 2 copeprs involved, i might write a letter up and send it. But the thing is with me being 17-about to turn 18- they will just regard me as being in the wrong immediately anyways....
  6. This is not a scam to impress people about what the 'Ultras' are tyring to do, it is merely an attempt to do something about the shit atmosphere that is currently at St James'. I am not going to deny that the players on the pitch need to provide the goods to get the fans going, but what i will say is sometimes the team needs that little bit reassurance that they can do it, that they can take the game by the scruff of the neck in the dying stages and score a winner. I would also like to say that the majority of the Toon Ultras are actually 16/17 and the people attending this meeting (if it gets arranged with the club) will be 17+ and dressed in suits, with statistics, quotes and other facts to back our case up. Alot of people seem to be happy just sitting back and constantly whinging about what could be done, and ideas that others come up with, instead of actively doing something about our library like stadium. I'm glad to see so many people have backed this idea though, it will be a big help i'm sure. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!! (both on and off the pitch)
  7. 'Bring back the noise'....a.k.a Toon Ultras. 2 of our older members are going to get suited up and try and organise some sort of meeting, please don't mock us, we're trying to move onwards and upwards and make our ambitions known to you so that we can all make St James' a better place to be. Besides, the more votes in our favour, and quotes we can use, the more stastistical information we have to combat arguments made against a singing section.
  8. I am totally in favour of it, like a few others said in the Toon Ultras thread, without the corner the friendlies would have been shite, and the atmosphere would have been dead.

Good stuff. There seems to be an extremely high amount of sarcasm on these message boards and sly digs as well, so it's hard to tell sometimes aint it lol.

That is what i mean, i find it amazing how everyone comes out the closet to support and sing just because we look like we are on the up. Don't get me wrong, the players need to perform to get the crowd singing, but the crowd needs to get singing when we are in the bad patches as well. Loads of people on here seem to think that they should only sing when we are winning.....and to those may i suggest the Manchester United or Chelsea forums..... From my seat if i cant hear the away support it means we are doing well nuff said. I agree to a certain degree. But just because the opposing fans are quiet it doesn't mean you are playing well, or winning. In fact in alot of situations last season we were playing mediocre premiership teams with s**** support and the ground was deadly silent because both teams were playing poor. It's them sorts of times when the home supporters need to be the 12th man... Sorry didnt explain what i ment. what i was saying is if i cant hear them because we are singing then i am happy sorry about confustion. Ah, haha, nee bother. I wasn't entirely sure what you had meant but i thought i'd go with the argumentative/debateable reply haha...

Tbh i think it's pathetic how people think St James'will be 'booming' or whatever from the signings of two or three players. Don't get me wrong, i too have gained a little more optimisim, but some peoples attitudes totally change. Fickle is an understatement. The team will need time to gel, especially the back four, i personally believe it will be October at least when we really show how good we are. Where is this sort of passion when we need it most??!!!

We all make mistakes, but it takes a real man to admit to them. Even if NSG did try and fail, at least he tried, "God Loves a tryer"

They seem to have lasted longer than your piss poor attempt at a Newcastle site anyway. http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/3980/ohmeladsag2vv0.png Was it bad like? If so, how bad? As bad as your pic ^^^

Well that may be a possibility later in the season. Currently we are discussing getting a surfer made, with "Pride Of The North East" on and the Toon Ultras crest. It will be a similar design to that in my Sig'. With it having the Toon Ultras crest on i doubt many on here would like to donate though. And there's your problem, the name is holding you back. Fair point, but everyone on here should know what we are about by now. I agree though nevertheless. Another name would be more appropriate, but what we our aiming to do is what you need to focus on rather than our name.

Some of us keep in touch with the 'Red Ultras' of Aberdeen and the 'Green Brigade' of Celtic. As well as 'Stretford End Flags' of Manchester United, via the forums. Lee Ryder (or whatever his name is who does the blogs) seems to be getting in touch more and more often too, and seems keen to see us succeed. As well as that in the mag i think it was they had a poll saying 93% of the readers wanted a singing section or the ultras to succeed. So people are getting to know of us, we just hope it isn't for the wrong reasons as some seem to think. That's why i came on here really, just to get us known for what/who we are rather than a group of charver mongs. We could do with your help, that is all.

And you's say we're childish. He is not a charva, and is just a young lad like some other people stated. How can you say someone is a charva when you can't even see what he is wearing or how he acts.
  21. Spend now, and then get a decent young squad in that we can rely on to do well and get us into europe for a few years while we clear the debt. Then get better players in to push for Champions League.

Okay, well it seemed to me like you weren't willing to give us a chance, but if you are then fair enough. Baggio i think your idea is a good possibility and will probably suggest it on our forums. I doubt people will do it, but it may be worth a try. Even if they choose not to do it, it might be worth just having a forum for what we are doing, and then maybes if we get our arses in gear, more people will be willing if they can see our success on here.

your whole point is if more people put up banners and get up and sing then the whole ground will sing I'm telling you that's s**** but f*** it, there are always people who won't be told, and pull out the 'but omfg we must try, why be so negative' Americanised bollocks If the Toon Ultras get 20,000 members and we stay a mid table team, I guarantee the place will still be silent (not that it is silent tbh, but it's not rocking). How the f*** is it Americanised bollocks??!! Have you never sung when your team has been losing to spur them on? It's exactly the same thing! You must try to spur them on to win, i am pretty damn sure you will have sung when Newcastle has been losing, just to encourage them to get that vital goal. So don't give me that s**** about Americanised bollocks. The Toon Ultras will never be a 20,000 size organisation if wankers like you go on with the same negative attitude, and i am just guessing here but you must be 35+ the way you go on. It's like you have never done the same as what the younger lads do now. We don't expect there to be a booming atmosphere at every game, but we do expect there to be an improvement on what is currently pretty near to silence. Besides, if the Ultras were a 20,000 organisation the ground would be almost half full with us. If 3,000 fans can make as much noice as the away fans do, i'm sure 20,000 would have the place bouncing. So don't run your mouth with that stupid s****. Flags and banners may not directly improve the atmosphere, but if you were on the pitch and saw a big surfer getting waved across saying "Pride Of The North East" or something like that then that would make you think, "f****** hell, i need to do my bit today!" That applys to the likes of money grabbing c***s like Kieron Dyer. And in regards to you Baggio, i totally understand where your coming form, and another name would be appropriate, but then we would already lose any of the good reputation we have. Our reputation is extremely fragile at the moment and we need to do everything good to make it more secure. (if that makes sense) you misunderstood. the americanised bollocks comment is your whiney attitude towards anyone who doesn't think you will achieve anything, 'omfg why r u dissin us? don't you want the team to be succesfull? don't you want a loud stadium?' Of course I do, and I know how it happens, and I know it won't come from your whiney forced efforts. Seriously, how many more members have signed up since this got posted? ftr I have cheered the team, in the really good times and the bad times in the good era, which is why I know what I'm talking about, and why I know you don't. Like I said, carry on lecturing me if you want, I've said my bit, and I also said you'd be doing your cause no good if you carried on exactly the way you are now I don't wish to keep arguing with you, we're both fans alike. But i just find it amazing how you can go on the way you do, when you're no different from me really, and just for the record i have sang in the bad times of a good era, you can't say i'm patronising when you make comments like that. With regards to our forum, that is not what my post initial post was about. The forum isn't essential, but people singing is. All i wanted from this post was people to give us a chance (which everyone except you are) and for them to help us spread the word. By posting on here i may gain 1,2 maybes even 3 members, but nevertheless i have got more people trying to help us. The forums don't matter to us like they matter to you's, what we do in that stands is what counts, not posting our opinion on every matter on a forum. And just for everyone else who has read this thread, i really do appreciate your comments, and i would like to think that you would be willing to help us if we were to contact the club about a singing section. We might get some sort of petition or something going soon, it seems a bit of a long shot but it may be worth a try.
  24. Yes, of course we will, you cannot be mediocre forever.
