  1. Think the Scousers will be like the Manchester Reds tbh. Won far too much to give a fuck about the league cup.

I personally just do not understand the logic of being a match going fan and not singing for your team. You can watch almost every game on TV and get multiple angles and better views and replays etc. From the comfort of your own home or a bar or whatever. Therefore you must go for atmosphere. If you go for atmosphere, how do you expect there to be one unless you help make one? That doesn't necessarily mean you have to sing for 90 mins or even at all. However, at least assist those willing to do so in faciitating it.

Thing is mate like, honestly, I try to think of the folks who will be replying with these sorts of remarks and their motivation or situation: 1) WUMs/Trolls Fair game - easy target to generate bites and replies 2) Non match going fans It literally doesnt effect you anyways 3) Match going fan - singer Encouraging folk to sing and make their voices magnified by uniting with like minded supporters 4) Match going fan - NonSinger You may wish to have that view of the game, fair, but just like you have the choice to not sing, others have the choice to sing and Eddie Howe and the players have repeatedly said how the home atmosphere helps. So...do you want to gain an advantage in the final? It's that simple, surely...?

I'm away with work so not really following all that's going on in the flag chats (have had over 700 messages in 2 days). The usual remarks from social media... "You can't tell us what to do" "Who are you to tell us" "Last time was mint" "Getting above themselves" "Egos" Yada yada yada. Will be folk who whinge about it all and do fuck all. Wor Flags and others are simply trying to find a positive resolution that suits most folk.
  5. @Ronaldo has enjoyed trying to bait me for many a year on here. I'm not that arsed tbh. He got it wrong this time. I'm sure he won't other times. It is what it is. Me and Eddie managed Sandro right. you can thank me later @Ronaldo x

Nowt to do with the fact it was away from home like.
  10. He is. I still stand by what I said at the time for that period of time though. It's easy to make those remarks in retrospect as it's all entirely theoretical.
  11. Never said that. Said on numerous occasions he was more talented only that I trusted Howe judgement at the time and that I could understand why he was being used ahead of Tonali at that period in time.
  12. Didn't know he'd signed for Liverpool
  13. I don't think it'd be spending within our FFP constraints wisely that's the thing. I think we have bigger fish to fry. Get the point being mage though.

We created little and got two dubious goals, we could have quite easily conceded a few more too. We weren't anywhere near good enough out of possession. One thing to have possession but it's another thing to have control, in my opinion.

Any team does though, that's the thing. It's very unusual for a side to heavily rotate and maintain the same standard of performance. I am a big supporter of Longstaff and always have been but sadly, he's probably 6th in the pecking order for CMs that can influence the game (from an attackng perspective) now. As Howe says, he holds very different qualities to the other midfielders and they all bring something. For me, I'd bring him on ahead of Willock or Miley when we're trying to see a game out and tighten up, but when we're trying to impose ourselves on the game it'd be Miley or Willock. Our best 3 very much remain Bruno, Sandro and Joelinton. Folk are very fast to sell him down the river mind...

Raises and lowers his game to who we're playing. Lack of match fitness and confidence weigh heavier on him than other players too. For what it's worth, he wasn't alone in lowering his performance last night, first half especially, we were collectively shite.
  17. Aye, that's what I was thinking tbh. They're (arguably) very unlikely to win this year's CL based on current form and so the PL represents their best chance to remain a CL side. Not getting the CL is a canny big issue for clubs of that level.
  18. I actually thought Birmingham were also architects of their own downfall. It seemed second half they were more interested in booting us and as a result the game naturally slowed down too. Probably becaus they knew they'd tire, etc. But aye, I agree. Sandro gave us that dynamism and control for sure.
  19. Is that 12 wins and 2 losses in the last 14?
  20. Made the difference yesterday imo.

    Will Osula

Thought he was great tonight. Got booked when he shouldn't have been and showed the maturity to not get caught up int heir antics. Showed some real top drawer touches and looked comfortable on the ball. Just maybe guilty of trying too hard once or twice.
  22. This is a perfect comparison for me. I remember as the third, fourth and fifth goals went in not even celebrating just standing and pivoting around to folk with my jaw on the floor and asking if it was actually real. I wasn't alone. Absolutely shell-shocked.
