  1. It wasn't a moment of brilliance imo, it was Tiote completely switching off and letting them take the free kick. He turned his back and bleated on to himself about the foul, rather than stopping the fee kick being taken. Yup. Moment of brilliance is laughable. It was a decent goal in a shit match, devoid of any skill, played between a turbo shit team and a shit team with good players with a turbo shit manager.
  2. Nailed on pen, no doubt, can't see whether he was offside from the replay as it wan't in line. On the commentary in Oz we've Chris Waddle as co-commentator making excuses for Liverpool, but his still ongoing pronunciation of penalty as pelanty (twice) cheered me up. Tit. fucking pelanty man
  3. Oh dear. I was really depressed when I read that... and this is Wilshere. One of our more technical and talented players. Yup. Clearly his brain is used to move his legs. I would have thought that a modern day player brought up in a supposedly different mind-set wouldn't be coming out with an attitude that died out in the early nineties.
  4. I see Jack (I don't smoke guv, honest) Wilshere has put his foot in it in spectacular style. Footballers ooze intelligence. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24455721
  5. Sure that Dave Kitson is an oracle on all things Sunderland I'm sure it's fairly accurate TBF. He sees to know what's going on in wearyside more tha our lot, though maybe he can't speak French ;-)
  6. Interesting stuff from a true ITK.... http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/13468/black-cats-on-the-booze/
  7. You would if you had to watch him summarising matches like we have to in Oz. Got the weirdest school girl giggle as well that nearly makes me put my fist through the screen. Got no problem with Woan, I seem to remember in the interview after THAT goal he basically apologised for it in so many words and said that he hoped we would still win the title.
  8. Is Gary Bennett obscure enough? or Paul Hardyman? or Frank McAvennie?
  9. I remember when we were in the same position with Shepherd. One particular journo ad tried several times and did print stuff about Shepherd and Douglas Hall. Thomson House were contacted by the clubs lawyers and the other stories were pulled by the bosses. Speaking to the said journo, he promised me that there would be a tipping point were TH would turn against Shepherd etc, ony when it was obvious what was happening. Ryder will be like Oliver though, he'll never turn. Can't stand the bloke.
  10. I spent a few years in and around Teesside. Fuck me, you'll be searching for 'tons of charm' for a long time in Boro. It makes Sunderland seem reasonable.
  11. Pathetic penalty decision. The Palace player hardly touched him. Rapidly losing interest in football now with these things going on.
  12. Yep. Not sure what the Shepherd love-in is for, but if he'd stayed around for a few more seasons there was a fair chance that we wouldn't exist today. People seem keen to forget the NOTW stuff etc
  13. Spot on - seems like a great bloke, but he wasn't really that good. A bit harsh. TBF he had Ginola playing in front of him for a decent amount of time and his contribution to defending for the most part, was to watch the RB run past him and help the winger out. He was a pretty solid left back. I remember Bez taking a corner in an Anglo-Italian cup match (forget when exactly - think it was the promotion season). He was taking it at the Gallowgate/East corner and slipped when he was taking it putting the 'corner' out before the 18 yard box. He picked himself up did the donkey ears, laughed with everyone else and scooted back to LB. Top bloke. Can't imagine many players reacting like that now.
  14. Absolutely this. There is no-one else coming in and tbh I'll be surprised if Cabaye goes.
  15. So he fucking should be after he way he's behaved. Fucking pathetic.
  16. No, we were shite first half
  17. So how else are we supposed to let him know his behaviour is a disgrace? Write letters to him? Nah we should definitely boo our own players, hopefully they f*** up every time the ball comes to them then we can all laugh! Cos that's what happened....
  18. So how else are we supposed to let him know his behaviour is a disgrace? Write letters to him?
  19. No, he needs to know how people feel about the way he's been behaving We need him to want to perform for us, booing a so called huffy layer as he is about to come onto the pitch is counter productive. Tbf us booing wont make too much difference. Being stuck with us and trying to make the France squad will.
  20. No, he needs to know how people feel about the way he's been behaving
  21. Fucking laughable MANAGER REACTION - Newcastle 1-0 Fulham Newcastle boss Alan Pardew on whether Yohan Cabaye is staying after appearing for the first time this season against Fulham: "It doesn't mean he's staying because the window is staying open until 11pm on Monday. It's a worry and we've marked his agent's card that if he wants to do business then he should do it early. "The fans got it right, it was a mixed reaction, some were saying Newcastle comes first and others welcoming him because he's a great player."
  22. Posted this in the Cabaye thread as well MANAGER REACTION - Newcastle 1-0 Fulham Newcastle boss Alan Pardew on whether Yohan Cabaye is staying after appearing for the first time this season against Fulham: "It doesn't mean he's staying because the window is staying open until 11pm on Monday. It's a worry and we've marked his agent's card that if he wants to do business then he should do it early. "The fans got it right, it was a mixed reaction, some were saying Newcastle comes first and others welcoming him because he's a great player." Fucking early?? Utter prick.
  23. Good sign we'll not be signing a forward then.
  24. To be fair to him most player/manager apologies start with 'If I offended anyone I'm sorry.....' At least he has apologised fully for it, I've got no problems with that.
