  1. The most used things in his locker are the injury excuse book and the sick note, if he goes and we get a fee then we've done well. Emre has turned out to have been a terrible signing. Was the same for Owen for the first two and a half season with us, yet he seems to have managed to turn a lot of people around in the past 6 months. No way of knowing whether Emre would have been able to do the same.. Emre has been here longer than Owen and still shows no sign of an apetite to get off the treatment table and play for the club. By less than a month - how does that make a difference? Maybe if Emre had been given a more definite role in the team under Allardyce he'd have this 'appetite' to play for the team - having the likes of Smith picked above you hardly shows you're wanted within the squad or gives you an incentive to play better.
  2. If we're still playing 4-3-3 I don't see why N'Zogbia couldn't go in on the left of a 3 pronged attack in Martins' role, has a great left foot, has pace, could be worth a go before considering another striker like Diane as I don't see any room for him in our midfield or at LB.
  3. You know he won player of the year at Inter. Madness, all the Inter fan on another used i used to go on were laughing at us for paying money for him. It's why i've never held much hope for him from the off. Wikipedia says he won it in 02-03. he's on too much money, he's rarely fit, and he's had too many next seasons. we wait till next season and we may not be able to get any money for him at all. get shot now, save us a bit of money, which can go towards bringing some real quality into the side. If we do sell Emre, which I hope we don't, it should be after the Euro's and not before - Emre dictates most of Turkey's attacking play so a good tournament for him and Turkey would see his value rise far above what it is now. I still think a Michael Owen-esque resurgence could be on the cards for Emre, but only time will tell.
  4. I was a big fan of Emre at Inter and still am tbh. When he plays at his best, Emre's as good as playmakers come. Should be given games pre-season and then evaluated on those before being replaced/sold imo - I think he could do us good next season, certainly capable enough and could save a bit of money which could be used on other areas of the squad.
  5. Excuse me? Shirt, jersey, whatever
  6. Looking to get a new Newcastle jersey - either the 3rd or the away but can't decide which one, would appreciate some help if possible
  7. Dunno if this has already been mentioned but Pique's off to Barca.

    Henk ten Cate

Makes Rijkaard's appointment all the more unlikely imo.
  9. I'd like to think he'd be more involved in the squad than that tbh. Would either eventually have him succeed Viduka or give him a go in Geremi's role as afaik this guy can play a bit in midfield as well.
  10. He's certainly better than Geremi with alot of potential still there. Would be well suited to our 433 as well, perhaps more so than Milner imo.
  11. He was the best player on the pitch until he went off injured. Sorry what? McFadden and Zarate were alot more dangerous. McFadden could be argued I guess but Zarate was only on for 10 mins and did fuck all bar shooting into row z. Nonetheless Larsson was very much Brum's creative spark in midfield and they didn't look the same when he came off.
  12. I'd take him for anything less than £4 million. Tidy little player but with a bit of muhc-needed flair about his game.

    Arda Turan?

    Sounds very plausible tbh.
  14. He's good when fit, worth a punt imo and he's exactly the type of player we need. Still fairly young too.

    Arda Turan?

Doesn't sound like anything new tbh. you speak turkish? Don't have to, guarantee it's saying our supposed £11 mill bid is too low and Gala are throwing in Everton to draw in more money from us.

  17. Looks a bit old for our supposed new transfer policy?

    Arda Turan?

I'll honestly begin to think something's amiss if Spurs sign this guy.
  19. Well he did - what kind of t*** slaps a player in front of the ref's assistant? Absolute lunacy. The contact might have been minimal but he should know full well that you can't do that ie Aliadiere, Mascherano. I know that, was just saying it was completely obvious, and we didn't need him to tell us. Ah, fair play then.

    Arda Turan?

One key point I think some are missing out on is that we have Emre. The guy has cult status in Turkey or in Gala at least where Turan is based. Emre could be used to our advantage in a swap deal as he's in demand or as a pulling factor in that Turan has a possible idol and fellow countryman at the club. So because of this we certainly have the upper hand in this particular deal over the likes of Everton and Blackburn.
  22. Yeah, he was linked with Arsenal about 2 months back as a replacement for Flamini. Looks like they're splashing out on Yaya Toure instead. I heard they're very close to signing a guy called Chantome from PSG, about 20 I think as a repalcement for Flamini.
