That's 12. Subtract Shelvey

That's how I'd like to see us play too. Don't want to see 3 midfielders especially when 2 of them will most likely be plodders. Hayden and Longstaff would be my best pairing. Three at the back with Willem and Yedlin bombing down the sides. I know a lot of people don't like Yedlin and I understand why but he still has great pace.

I think Almiron is the key. He is so adept at creating space that he makes everyone else better. I just hope Brucie lets him play. I'm not convinced he will.

Ludwig Francilette signs for NUFC/didn’t cut mustard at Dijon

Darren Bent. Needs something to do after being cuckolded -
Almiron

Bull in a china shop. It worked once for him, evidently, and foolishly he thought he could keep doing it. Nah.

The man obviously doesn't do his due diligence when making acquisitions. He's a poor businessman and his empire is foundering. I only hope NUFC can get in the lifeboat before the empire sinks to the bottom.

Mike Ashley is a sociopath.
-
I honestly don't think Ashley knows what he's doing from one step to the next. I thinks he's myopic, of average intelligence and too arrogant to actually map out a strategy to get from point A to point B, let alone points C or D. He seems to have stumbled into a situation where he made a shit ton of cash and thought he could continue to stumble into more. The fact that 2 key management personnel have left recently, coupled with another reporting debacle, indicates that he has finally crossed the line regarding acceptable financial practices. That would indicate that the wheels are wobbling on his financial empire. Our only hope is that he needs to cash in on the club to buy back shares in SD. If the BZG bid was real we can assume that they couldn't get enough cash in to Fat Mike's hand fast enough to seal the deal. One has to wonder, though, how BZG had failed to finance it adequately. It's possible the deal was scuppered, in part, because Ashley wanted advertising and merchandising rights as well. BZG (or any other group) may have been willing to structure payments with an advertising agreement but who would be surprised if Fat Mike kept pushing for more and more? Ideally Ashley finds himself in a position where he can't fuck around and has to make a quick and clean deal. Structured payments to be concluded within this next financial year and no future advertising deals to hold up the conclusion. The big fear being that his whole empire crumbles before he will allow any deal to be done.

Think he's a good passer. Think he's a ticking time bomb.

What would be the equivalent of Hiroshima bombs?

Sounds to me like Benitez wanted to spend money on facilities, youth structure and spend some money on "hold the fort" type players until more youth started to be developed. MA didn't want any of that, so Benitez left. End of.

Looks like an ever-so-slightly better version of Atsu to me. Every clip it looks like he's not sure what foot to use next and never seems to quite have the ball under control. Doesn't quite know what he's going to do next. That sounds like Obertan

With Almiron, Joelinton and St Maxamin what formation? 5-2-3 or 5-3-2 with Almiron in the midfield 3?
-
I'm witnessing a debate neither side can win.
-
Well, anyways, i feel better about this kind of signing with Almiron in the squad. Without Almiron I could see him being really isolated and totally ineffectual. Almiron's forward runs will open space for him and give him some service to work off of. Hopefully Bruce will allow others to come forward in support.

"These are the players we're buying. We'll sell them before you're contract is up or after you're fired."
-
So they pay 36M and Joelinton, who will play 32 games over two seasons, scores six goals and they'll expect to sell him for a big profit? Wankers

You're a thick one, Radgy Jack You really are a cunt You're a shitty footballer But Bruce will give you a punt Radgy Jack! You're a mediocre grafter A ginger-topped punk Go fuck off Radgy Jack! You're boots are filled with shit A Mackem thru and thru Radgy Jack! sung to the tune "Mr Grinch"

FUCKING BRILLIANT

Now I'm really confused. Genesio was the preferred choice of Kenyon who was fronting the UAE group last year but he isn't involved with the BZG? That would mean the UAE was still involved in an attempt recently otherwise why bring up Genesio's name now? Maybe there were no Mexicans involved and the only groups really in the mix were the UAE and the BZG? If Barry Moat was to get involved again would he call his consortium BMC? Perhaps if I was to make another bid I could call my consortium COO.

This stinks of a dead cat in the breadbox to me.

Have to "balance the books"

Redfearn on the squad... Well, there's a real zip to training and the lads look right up to it. Colback is buzzing and looks to be the heartbeat of the team, the guy the entire squad rallies around. Jonjo is playing with a real chip on his shoulder. He's arguing with everyone so he's in great form. Elliot is pushing for a starting spot and Lazar is a nice lad with a bit of pace about him. Saivet adds some continental flair. Gayle looks up to logging a lot of minutes and has looked brilliant during our tap in drills. Defensively, we have a lot of lads to choose from with the key being we keep things tight and not take too many chances... Almiron? Oh yeah...he's here too.
