  1. And that's exactly what's happened, so far. Maybe he's performing here because there isn't the same level of expectation he had at Metz - they clearly found him to be their next big thing whereas here he was just seen as a steady backup player.
  2. Fancy telling us what it says then?
  3. Ryan Taylor's already scored his seasonly wonderstrike against us so that won't happen again. I think we'll win it 1-0 if Martins plays, but if not I reckon another 0-0 on the road.

Man City were totally shocking yesterday.

    Kinnear Out

We'll win at Wigan if someone goes and saws Ryan Taylor's legs off.

    Kinnear Out

If anything, the fact that Kinnear and Allardyce both work under the "win at home, don't get beat away" mantra proves how much better a tactician Kinnear is. Alright, he ballsed up the Martins sub a few times, but Allardyce playing a Butt/Geremi without swapping it, or bringing on defenders to try and turn a defecit around is far, far worse. And when Kinnear says "don't get beat away" that doesn't mean he plays for a 0-0 each time (funnily enough he got 0-0's without trying too hard to get them, whereas Fat Sam tried to get them and more often than not we got beat). As for the two late goals vs Stoke and Wigan, well both times were just poor marking at set pieces which is the players fault, and not Kinnears. He could spend hours on defending set pieces every week and they could still go out and do that, there's nothing he could physically do either time. I'm still not convinced he should get a long-term contract, but I'm happy to see Kinnear here for this season. He's done pretty well. :thup
  8. Can easily see him being signing of the season for us, without a shadow of a doubt.
  9. Class player who is finally finding his feet after a run in the side. Kinnear would be mental to sell him.
  10. Frankly, I couldn't give a flying fuck. We beat you, thats all that matters.
  11. aye, just like the last time we played spurs. So you think it will be a s*** match? not neccisarily, but it's a very odd assumption to make. On the basis of our last premiership encounters with Spurs, it is far from an odd assumption. On the basis of the change in form of BOTH sides since the carling cup, it is far from an odd assumption. On the basis that you cant spell, I'll go with my own thoughts on this. Leaving now, should be good. What the fuck has that got to do with anything? Don't come back, you fucking wanker.

  13. We had three clean sheets away from home in a row sooner than 96/97 - Birmingham (a) 2005/06 0-0, Lillestrom (a) 2006/07 0-3, Ventspils (a) 2006/07 0-1. Although those were across 2 seasons. Otherwise it is correct about 96/97 being the last time.

  15. I bet he'd keep Kinnear even if he got us relegated.
  16. Tis the season to be jolly, falalalala lalalala.... you miserable bastard. Cheer up ffs!
  17. cp40, you're making yourself sound like some kind of nicky butt type CM here. I'm more stamina than pace, like. Just watch those long legs fox the opposition CB's.
  18. If Oba doesn't start - what do you guys think? Shola, Viduka, Xisco or Carroll partnering Owen? Personally, I'd go with Shola.
  19. Agree with everything Jonny Hall has said there. It's 99% likely to be Sunday paper shitehawkers, and even if it is that 1% and true that Kinnear wants the Sunderland job, it's not like we'll have sleepless nights over it. In fact, I'd only be worried that we'd have to suffer that fuckwit of a tactician Hughton for a few more games until we can find another bloke.
  20. Excellent. Dawson playing = 3 points and probably a return on my Oba first goalscorer bet.
