Hell of a lot of them looking to beyt the traffic tonight, would have only been half full to celebrate a late equaliser if they had got their weekly customary deflection or goalkeeper error.
-
Crap on the corner. Claiming a foul you wouldn't get that in a netball match Nick sonna.
-
Definitely think Eddie was sending a message to him by putting Osula on. He might be raw and a bit crap but he busts his arse and presses and that's what we need this old bugger to start doing.
-
Not intended to in any way disregard our good performance tonight but fuck me, Spurs are absolutely honking Greasy Tommy Tank surely got to be close to the tin tack.

Posted this in the wrong thread initially, but: Thought he was good when he came on at a moment where we needed his tenacity in there, but it has to be said the midfield mix looked far better without him in it for the first hour. We actually strang passes together all day. OK, it's one game and it was a turbo shit Spurs side, but a real damning indictment of his very poor form.
-
Great again, he's had a really good few weeks. A real renaissance when he looked absolutely out of the picture.
-
Oh shit was talking about Tonali, oops. Edit: Elanga was very good first half, faded a bit second but the ref gave him nowt all day.

Massive calls to rest Hall, drop Wissa and sit Tonali down tonight and all of them paid off. Delighted for him as he looked absolutely beaten in after Brentford. Thought the subs were good too and he introduced Tonali at the right time, as well as Osula for energy and pressing rather than the other two who offer nowt in that respect. We deserved to win that by more than just the one goal given the dominance, and would have done without the bollocks offside call, but we saw that out excellently at the end and we needed to show we can do that again and manage a game. Spurs were absolutely garbage but given the difficulty to dig out away wins this year it doesn't really matter. Well done to Eddie, the staff and the players for tonight.

Been excellent tonight and came close a few times before the goal, really deserves that. Clever finish.
-
This ref is giving us absolutely nowt. Just waves away everything the prick.
-
We deserve that, we've been excellent. Most cohesive PL showing in ages so far.
-
He's onside you corrupt fucking wankers
-
Elanga has been much much better but I wish he'd play to the fucking whistle when he's tackled. Stood still with his arms outstretched not getting the decision twice now.
-
Decent start this but worried about their pace against our creaky full backs.
-
There'll be a logic to the selection, hopefully we can see that play out in a positive fashion. Hnnnnnng

Poor bastard.

Did Neville just call him Hurling Aahland?

Realised today I shouldn't have been such a nob after the game yesterday and tried to goad people. Want to go on record and apologise for doing so as it's not helpful. It was largely bourne out of frustration that everyone with a viewpoint that is somewhere in the middle seems to get pigeon-holed into Camp A: "HOWE OUT" or Camp Z: "HOWE CANNOT DO A SINGLE THING WRONG". Whereas there are camps B to Y that exist in the middle of that and a lot of people probably in Q-Y of "Howe is a fantastic manager, one of the best we've ever had, there's a boat load of mitigating circumstances as to why he's not able to get the team firing, however here are a few things he himself could do better in terms of matchday/selection". Watched his presser from yesterday and he looked very sad. Whilst I do think there's loads he could do better in terms of in-game management etc, there is also the fact that absolutely nowt seems to drop for us in the box or deflect in our favour. Really hope we get the rub of the green at Spurs even if the performance is still not good and can put a win up.

Spurs home record is shit, our away record is shit. Something has to give. Draw, probably.

I'd love to hear from some of the lads who were being ultra-condescending and know-all to anyone who dared to point out that things were shit in October/November. Can remember loads of phrases like "You'd think people would know better, you'd think they would learn, look at last time when we clicked and went on that winning run, Howe's sides always click by January, he's been hamstrung by the Wissa injury it'll get loads better when he's back".
-
He always puts it on himself and blames nobody else and it's really commendable. He looks tired and worn out in those photos and I've no doubt he's working himself into the ground to get it right. The only part that is frustrating with this kind of talk is he talks about learning from mistakes and yet we see the same issues with the setup or ineffective approaches to games rear their heads constantly.

Added absolutely nowt. Scared of heading the ball, scared of shooting.

That's why we sold him, he should have wanged a cross into the empty box.
