It's getting harder and harder to defend this absolute fucking twaddle he's spinning up away from home, like. It's awful to watch, he isn't getting the best out of most of the players and he won't change the system.
-
Fucking pathetic, Isak.

Does feel like we're doing the same things every week and it just isn't working. Part of that is on the board for not investing in the side for a year, but his lack of willingness to try a different formation or change that horrible flat midfield three is getting starker by the week. If he's not worried for his job now, he should be.

Isak and Pope. Fucking hopeless the pair of them, soft as shit away from home yet again.
-
It's not all on him, but this looks bleak so far today. Hope it changes fast.

Hooper is a cunt, that's so blatant

Big fan of Ipswich's policy of signing former PL players bairns David Hirst and Rory Delap's lads both on the score sheet. I wonder if one of the sides that gets promoted this year decides to sign Muric in the summer, seeing as he's rapidly becoming part of the single PL season relegation starter pack.

8 offsides in one match for Mbappe somewhere, Papiss Cisse is sat in a bar watching and raising a glass to him.
-
Got to admire the old school "stick a centre half up top" move from Dyche. The question is, will he go one step further and actually do it from the start of a match like when Jason Roberts was paired with Chris Samba up top by Allardyce at Blackburn

Mark "A great advert for the Championship" on your bingo cards.

Great close up shot of Carlton Morris screaming "YOU SHITHOUSE" at the lino for failing to give an obvious corner And of course he's booked for calling out refereeing incompetence.
-
He seems like a great guy and I'm genuinely buzzing to see him playing regularly and scoring for another side, he wouldn't have got the minutes here. Other than when we play Forest I hope he keeps firing them in and has another few years at the top level, he's proven he can score at a good rate in some pretty limited sides.
-
Whether there's any truth in him wanting to leave or not we obviously can't be certain, but right now 1) we aren't set up to get the best out of him, 2) there's no trusted striking cover to take him out of the firing line or share the goal burden, and 3) he's in poor form and doesn't look quite right himself. Fingers crossed 1) and 3) right themselves over the coming weeks and then between Osula's development, Wilson's occasional availability and January trading we can rectify 2) over the course of the season. You'd imagine if we don't qualify for Europe this year there'll be bids to test our resolve for many of our better players, but out of everyone we have Isak is the one I'd want to keep most. At his best he's easily a 1-in-2 PL striker who will contribute assists too and we should focus all of our efforts and recruitment on ensuring we get there as soon as we can, before we're forced to sell. I'm sure Howe is aware of all of this and will be trying to make it happen but time isn't on our side to make it work.

Big win for Gateshead on the road, hard fought single goal success at Sutton.

Palace European push going well, they'll be at Cardiff and Swansea next season unless they fetch Roy back before Christmas.

Morgan Gibbs-Beige

Well done, he's got two more years til he's 13

O'Neil speaks really well there & I agree with what he's saying. They do seem to find a logic or a justification for one decision that then is disregarded or not applied for the next one.

Carragher's on smack. Sanchez clearly gets a big touch on the ball and then his momentum carries him into the player, it can't be a penalty no matter what ridiculous Scouse wanker narrative he tries to justify it with.
-
Sanchez is fucking crap. No wonder Brighton were happy to get rid.

No goal from open play in four and a half matches and this is about the last sort of fixture we need on that kind of run. Can see Palmer being the difference in a tight game but hard to predict anything other than a defeat at the absolute graveyard that is Stamford sodding Bridge.
-
We lost 0-1 to Brighton under Rafa six years ago today and Murphy wasn't even summoned off the bench, I find that a bit mind-blowing like. Twelve transfer windows, two managers and a highly progressive takeover later and he's now starting for us in the same fixture.
-
Definitely think that in 5+ years we look back at this summer and file it in the same place as the Bowyer and Anita windows. An absolute waste of a chance to really kick on.

No I agree, I was saying I don't think Eddie was doing it for the reasons I listed but it definitely proved it anyway. Those are valid reasons for why he made the changes imo. Had to do something.

He was very good today and the absolute least of our worries.
