I thought the Brighton (h) ref was the worst I'd seen but this is another level.

That wasn't a corner. They then win the free kick from it and score. Sick of these useless shit cunts stuffing us every week
-
Early bump for this. Hope someone elbows Anthony Taylor in the face when he's out and about and all the passers by ignore it like he did, the cunt.

If Sean has a poor game and we don't get a result, there'll be hell on about him not starting. Hope that isn't the case.

Looks like Wolves have finally had a marginal VAR call go their way. Soccer Saturday panel saying it's a harsh call to chalk the goal off for a foul.
-
You never mentioned "after the 1-5" originally though, did you? You just said a player who made nearly 500 appearances for us couldn't wait to jump ship goodnight and enjoy the wine.
-
I don't have an issue with the Given / Pope debate, I think it's quite close and would understand someone leaning either way tbh. I took issue with you saying Given couldn't wait to jump ship when really he was someone who'd given his best years to the club and was clearly at the end of his tether with the shit show we were when he left - Ashley, Kinnear, the Liverpool 1-5 home game.
-
Given's command of his box was poor, his kicking wasn't great (although this is a feature of literally every NUFC keeper I can remember ) and he had a period in his later years of being beaten from long distance a lot. Hardly ever saved pens either. That all said his shot stopping was so, so good and he was left so exposed by the defences he played behind it made up for a lot of those deficiencies. I don't like the idea that he was desperate to jump ship when there was about 5 years of shite between us being in Europe and when he eventually left. He gave us his best years and arguably could have got himself a bigger move had he not stuck around during some of our lean pre-Ashley years.
-
100%, we were an absolute joke at the time he left. From the CL years under Robson to where we got to when he left in early 2009 was a hell of a decline and he played behind some rotten defences and some awful managers before he finally decided to move on.

I did read your post and it was shit, you mental old drunk
-
Given "couldn't wait to abandon ship" 12 years and 463 appearances, third in the all-time list. Fuck me, what a mental take.

Footballer going to a comedy show is UNPROFESSIONAL. What if he laughs too hard and pulls a muscle? Should be bombed out the club immediately imo
-
They're conceding goals two-by-two.
-
Great news for him, deserves it.

I don't recall anyone playing the "unprofessional" card when we were absolutely walking the Championship under Hughton and half the squad was basically fuelled on booze, or in the Keegan days when they had a big Tuesday night full squad session every single week. And before anyone says it, yes I'm aware the game & social media have changed a lot since then. He's got a lot going on in his personal life and if he needs a night out and a piss up to help take his mind off it, is it really such a big deal? Feel like this is way overblown.

Wank Frank second favourite behind Moyes in the early betting for the Coventry job

Given the absolute fucking bin fire we were when he decided to join us from a title-winning side in Spain, I hope the club support him and help him get his head together. Seems like he's made some mistakes in his personal life but we only know half of the story and comments that suggest we should sling him out immediately are quite short-sighted IMO. He's had the captaincy removed - whether as a punishment or in order to take the pressure off him depends on your viewpoint - and when compared to some of the absolute wasters who've clung onto our payroll over the years I hope we help him get right and hopefully contribute on and off the pitch this season.

Great listening to Berbatov on MNF, what a player he was and seems like a good guy too.
