I think it's wise to have competition for Lascelles. As well as he did last year he could easily go off the boil - we need someone ready to come in and perform if he needs taking out of the spotlight for a few weeks. Rafa will like Lascelles IMO, but he's too young and inexperienced to rely on to be a 40-game consistent performer.

Crouch would be fine for a year IMO. Good lad to have around, might teach Mitrovic a thing or two, probably grab a small handful of goals, low fee etc.

44 in 131 games is very very respectable at Premier League level. Particularly in what was largely a shit, struggling side. Some good goals but also some frustrating performances. He'll be remembered fondly but it's time he went. Hope he coins it in with the rest of the pensioners in China.
