  1. Bardsley is a cheating little fuck
  2. Looking good. Two safe and Lille 2-0 up with less than half an hour to go. That said, I need a Montpellier consolation to keep one of mine alive.
  3. Hull + BTTS is 4/1, pretty good IMO.
  4. Hull are evens like. Great price.
  5. Need BTTS and Burnley so hopefully things go according to the run of play now.
  6. £2 on Danny Ings FGS returns £11 £1 on Burnley win + BTTS, Lille win + BTTS, Hull win + BTTS returns £135

I reckon the mackems will probably lose/get a 0-0 in the "must win" ones and then pull a 1-0 win against Everton out of the hat or summat.

  9. am I being patronised by the shittest poster on the forum? Fucking christ. My pondering of Crouch comes from the distinct lack of other "different" options, FYI.
  10. Wouldn't be in question were it not for the disaster of a season Carroll has had. We see every two years what happens when you take forwards who aren't fully fit/are coming back from an injury (Rooney every tournament, Owen '06, Heskey '10... etc)
  11. Spot on there. He was awful in the relegation season and didn't look capable of adapting at all. He wasn't awful at all. He was horribly exposed by the Kev and Nicky masterclass going on in the centre of the park in front of him every week.
  12. Rooney must be due for his injury which doesn't rule him out of the tournament but makes him unfit and under pressure to rescue the campaign when he comes back in the second or third group game by now, right? Serious question: would anyone take Crouch? Rodriguez doesn't look international quality, Welbeck... the jury is out, AC9 hasn't played any football, Lambert is possibly not what we need... and PC does have a class international record, offers something different. I'm not saying I definitely would, but I'd consider it.
  13. I think it was a theoretical defence from someone who doesn't watch us every week. It looks like he's doing well; they aren't aware of the awful style of play, the shite patter in the press, the complete lack of ambition and the constant non-performances/results in the derby.
  14. Kinnear/Stoke was marginally worse IMO. Guthrie got injured and we had no CM option on the bench. As I remember it he could have brought on a forward and tucked Owen back into the tip of the midfield... he brings on Steven Cunt and what we ended up with was summat like this S.Taylor Bassong Coloccini Enrique Beye Gutierrez Butt N'Zogbia Viduka Owen Mind you, the "get a tackle on the pitch" thing with Perch in that Reading game cuts it mighty, mighty close.
  15. 2 too many That is right, but if Perch was still here no way would he have been in alongside Tiote on Saturday. Just no chance of it. Anita has earned his spot on hard work and merited performances. If you show that, you'll earn a place in the team. False. Anita was our best performer during that awful Nov-Dec run last season and was dropped as a result of it.

It's a surprise to me that more footballers with long-term injuries don't do that kind of thing, good for him.

    Paul Dummett

My viewing of Saturday was that he maybe doesn't yet have the confidence to play his way out of trouble enough; he did it on a few occasions very well but often shifted it away from the player closing him down for the smash down the line. He looks like a capable defender and has a good touch and cross IMO. I'd like to think we'd see the thwacking down the line decrease as he gets more games. I think he's had a decent attempt at goal in almost every game he's played for us and seems like more of a threat than Santon; he seems to have that knack of popping up when there's a chance on that Santon lacks.
  18. He was absolutely pissing the midfield in the second half on Saturday, honestly can't recall him wasting the ball once. What I like about him most is the way he recycles the second ball; something I noticed on Saturday is that his first touch is usually a pass to someone in space. Most of the time he doesn't even need a touch before he passes it; it just speeds up our play and gives the receiver of the ball that bit longer to do something useful with it.
  19. Apparently, after Saturday's games I was 160th in the country for this week. If I'd captained Suarez (or Sissoko) instead of Hazard I could well have been in the top 100.
