I still don't really rate Haidara too much and prefer Dummett from the glimpses I've seen of them both. A loan would be useful for him.

The thing I like about this guy is that he doesn't try too many 'hollywood balls' (see Tiote, Cheik and Butt, Nicky) because he knows his long passing ain't too great. He keeps things nice and simple, on the deck, has a good eye for a through ball when he's far enough up the pitch, and his tenacity and harrying off the ball is so so valuable. Great player who I think will continue to improve, as long as we don't play him in a midfield two.

If it's an £11m bid on a player they want £15m for then that's just about filed under "negotiating" as opposed to "taking the absolute piss" iyam.

There is absolutely no way that someone aged 23 who has played for Twente and Borussia M'gladbach could be worse than 2014 Shola. De Jong could still be shit, not really the answer and an utter flop and he'll still be better than Shola.
