The 'develop and promote' policy seems more like 'stagnate and release' to me.

Kadar seemingly has a lot of confidence too - that shot against Bristol City was surprising to say the least, and I like his touches on the ball. He's a very calm player which is odd for one so young.
  3. Worth signing him just to play against Stoke, A.Faye had a mare against him a few seasons ago. Not a great reason. Faye ain't a stoke player anymore. Ab Faye not Am Faye.

Kadar broke his leg playing against Sunderland reserves after he sat on the bench a few times under Kinnear and said something along the lines of "I may have broken my leg but I stopped the player scoring which is all that matters". I don't think there is anything wrong with Kadar's attitude. Pretty much all young players will go out and stuff, it's just whether he'll 'grow out' of it and decrease his number of nights out as he gets closer to the team.

  7. Curtis Davies fits the bill because he's got the right skin tone. McFadden too pasty and Scottish for Hughton to consider signing.
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/8789445.stm Hughton uses the phrase "we need to be mindful of the outlay" here, suggesting to me that it means no spending beyond means.
  9. Vitalfootball (I know, I know) reporting the Cleverley deal as if it's going to be confirmed very soon.
  10. I know, but he knows more about Tom Cleverley than most.

    James Perch

No capital outlay could also simply mean not spreading transfer payments over more than a year. It could just mean that we're living within our means and any cash signings are affordable both in the short and the long term.
  12. I'm perfectly happy with the signing of Perch.

    James Perch

It's a good signing - he's just 24 and has bags of experience in the Championship. Right age to step up. Williamson had played a mere 30 games or so before he joined us and he looks to be a good signing, what's to say Perch will be any different?
  14. N'Zog leaving Wigan will almost certainly relegate them, that leaves them as a one man team. Rodallega btw.
  15. I'd rather have Perch than Samuel tbf.
  16. So, we're now getting the African version of Alan Smith?
  17. it insinuates we're looking at the Pompey cast offs too.
  18. I assume he then took his Audi through the car wash at Morrisons before heading through the drive-thru at McDonalds?
  19. There was a Liverpool/NUFC reserve game on the box 2-3 years ago. We drew 0-0 and he made about 12 saves, of which two or three were outstanding. Really think he's a good player is Forster from the little I've seen and heard.
  20. Do people think that if we don't sign a forward but loan out Ranger and keep Xisco, that he'd get many games?
  21. Can no-one remember Colo playing DM at Man City last PL season and being really really turd?
  22. Love the reaction of Lineker. "have a word with him"
