I look at the name Aston Villa and think it'll be a tricky match but, looking at their team, we really should beat them.
-
Haha yeh the same happened to a friend of mine lately, but he got a few attempts at it. Its a great idea!

You should try opening your eyes and seeing for yourself.

Gonna give this a go anyway, even if it's too early: OUT: Ba, Best, Simpson, Perch, Lovenkrands (as well as Smith, Harper, Xisco and Ranger which we wouldn't notice) IN: Mbiwa/Douglas, Clyne, Carroll, Cissokho, Barnetta, Some Foreign Striker

Keys & Gray had Dermot Gallagher on today and it was an interesting discussion on these new ideas. They wondered if we'll ever have American-style timers to prevent cheeky injury time tactics. Dermot wants to ban substitutions in injury time and Keys suggested using both goals for a penalty shootout so that no team has the advantage of being in front of their own supporters.

64pts, so a second good week in a row. The Bale-Sessegnon-Silva-Valencia-Ben Arfa midfield is doing great. Just the strikers that are the problem...
-
Krul Simpson Willo Colo Santon Ben Arfa Guthrie Raylor Jonas Shola Ba is what I think we'll see, with a bench of Cisse, Obertan, Best, Gosling, Perch, Ferguson and Elliot. Personally I'd put Santon RB, Raylor LB and Gosling/Perch in midfield, but don't think Pardy will do the same. 3-1 win (Ba x 2, Guthrie)

You should be docked points for that. My attitude is "well, it happened anyway. i may as well benefit from it".
-
Still don't reckon he's a good manager and they've had a very favourable run of games (home to Blackburn, Swansea, Norwich and away to Wigan, QPR). Things will go back to normal soon.
-
Captain Sessegnon worked for the 2nd week in a row Need to get my strikers sorted soon though. Want Papiss Cisse in but that'd leave 8.7m for the other one, when theres nobody good in the 7.5-9m range.
-
Thought he did alright for 45 minutes. Certainly no worse than the others.....that substitution baffled me. It worked though.

C'mon Equatorial Guinea!!!
-
Immense. I'm running out of words to describe him, it'll have to just be noises soon.
-
That was an ugly, turgid match where we were simply awful. But, based on that performance, Blackburn are going down faster than lightning. 2-0 is extremely flattering. Also, the ref was going out of his way to get Blackburn a point there......terrible stuff. Coloccini, Krul, Guthrie Shola, Best Obertan should be used as an impact sub and Shola as an emergency defender isn't that bad of an idea (he couldnt be worse than upfront). 5th in the league

Just noticed Kurt Angle I used to cheer for him, dammit! Did he not know SJP used to play his song? TNA sucks anyway..
-
If they're that bad, lets hope they fail to qualify for next year's tournament. That'd be a massive help.
-
we also have Marveaux to come back, by the way. as another option to Jonas.
-
Certainly agree with the Tiote/Cabaye stuff. Cabaye excelled in a 3-man midfield at Lille and Tiote should simply protect the back 4. A great midfield would include a destroyer, a playmaker and an energetic Gerrard-in-his-pomp type. If Graham Carr can find us that third one (and a left back), we can be something special.

He said recently that he'd keep tabs on how Smith does at MK Dons. Was probably the final straw.

Yep, might sound petty but Stubbs went out of his way to spotlight the 'incident'.
-
Anything that gets rid of the 'penalty + red card' thing is good enough for me.
-
The FA are a joke. No way should that be a suspension and their inconsistency is ridiculous.

Would've been a winnable game but without Ba, Cisse, Tiote and Cabaye we've really not got a lot. We'll not be able to score and the defence won't be helped by a weak central midfield. Such a shame really. -
West Ham GK: R Green, M Stech, R Boffin DEF: G Demel, J Tomkins, W Reid, A Faye, G John, G McCartney, J O'Brien MID: K Nolan, M Noble, J Collison, P Diop, R Morrison, G O'Neil, J Faubert, D Bentley, M Taylor FOR: J Carew, N Maynard, R Vaz Te, C Cole, F Piquionne, S Baldock ....that squad is massive. Look at the depth of that midfield! The wages will be astronomical.
