Woohoo, Wearside is here. Its been too long mate, we've missed you. I love your balanced views, good natured banter and punching skills.
(please dont hurt me, please dont hurt me.....)
More excited for this than most other games. Its a combination of hating international breaks, hating Spurs and loving the wave of optimism up here. Whack the game on Sky and it has it all, really.
Aye I got 'The Ball is Round' a few years ago and I've really tried - but theres a lot there. I kinda just stopped reading. When it gets past WW2 it might get more interesting.
'Why England Lose' is a fun read though. Agree about the Lyon section....basically saying that using 'the wisdom of crowds' to sign players has done wonders.
Wildcard used, now its business time:
Given, Ruddy
P Jones, Bosingwa, Kompany, S Taylor, Enrique
Silva, Ramsey, Nani, Bannan, Ben Arfa
Rooney, Best, Sturridge (until Adebayor is back)
BRING. IT. ON.
By keeping him, the club are losing money but getting rid means he's won. Its not fair
The only fitting punishment is forcing him to Doncaster on loan.
because we aren't on the training ground day in day out to see if ben arfa, marveaux and santon are ready to start yet, also if putting two or three of them in may be a little too disruptive when it isn't a dire necessity. it's not as if they've just missed a game through suspension. for what it's worth i think we'll see the same starting line up as wolves and and that will be the end of that 11's run regardless of the score.
I agree that too many changes might backfire, but we know Santon is a better LB than Raylor and that he's ready to be given a try (played for U21s and well for the reserves). Can understand not wanting to split Best and Ba up though.
I hate this idea that we have to lose to bring our good players into the team. Why don't we just pick a team that can beat Spurs? In other words, Santon and possibly Ben Arfa in.
