Without excelling individually, we've looked much more threatening in the last 2 games since he's came on. He strikes fear in opponents and its scary to think theres better to come from him. The other players need to give him options though.

Obertan is a professional, he knows how fans are. He won't lose sleep over it, but he was incredibly shit today - again.

Marveaux showed more quality in 15 minutes than Obertan ever has for us. Its always a good idea to have actual talent on the right wing. It should be a no-brainer.

Is there a worse footballer than Obertan? Honestly, he should be banished from the first team for that. But its another clean sheet, innit?

Even for £12m, I think we could get better players - or at least players more suited to our style - than Carroll. That before his new wages come into the equation. Its a complete non-starter at the minute, although I don't doubt that he'll be back one day.

This is a new feeling. Even in the Championship I can't remember being so overwhelming favourites. Mind you, we're playing against Caldwell, Gohouri and Alcaraz so its easy to see why.

If we did spend £10m on him, there'd be a lot less noise about 'failing to sign a striker'. Yet here we are.

For me, he's a £10m player. His last 2 transfers were only cheap because of injury fears and contract loopholes.
