Must admit, it seems like the board are slowly learning lessons. He got rid of Wise and ended up bringing in Graham Carr, leading to a clear transfer strategy and youth policy. This summer we actually got players in early....like REALLY early on, which was great. And in the past if Pardew threatened to walk, he'd have probably let him. Now we're signing players in advance of January? Very nice.

was a surreal moment, reading that

£14m Yeah right
-
Lets go for this one, it'll be nice to have a cup run for once. The beauty of our squad is that Marveaux and Santon can come in without weakening the current XI. Abeid might get a go too.
-
Any news on the fee? Hope it isnt more then 7m

Our last defeat was April 30th. So if we get past Wigan, that will be SIX MONTHS unbeaten. Half a fucking year! That is extraordinary.
-
If you believe the media, Bale and Parker must be the best two players in the world. Yet we made them look completely average.
-
Last season the only player worth doubling up on was Jonas, and we still did well. Now we have Obertan/Marveaux and Ben Arfa too, and theres no way you can double up on all 3. As Sewelly says, he's been liberated. As an attacking force we look so much more threatening and Jonas has clearly benefitted from that.

Some other choice quotes: It's not just you that thinks they're delusional. That Bolton lot.....they're alright
-
They're not big fans of us on there. Barry Glendenning - despite being Irish - supports Sunderland and they've disrespected us just as much as the other media this season.
-
At least they've finally spent some....oh right. My mistake.

I'm miles ahead in my friends' mini-league and seemingly doing great......yet I'm 55th in the N-O one You're all fuckin' Mystic Megs

We've had a fantastic start, theres a wonderful feeling around the club/city now and only now are we unleashing HBA, Santon and Marveaux. I know we can be a bit bi-polar around here, but the potential in this team is frightening. There'll be defeats (eventually!) and some off days, but I think its realistic to aim for 'best of the rest' status and be 7th come May. Then lets hope the same logic that secured Jonas' (and hopefully Colo's) contract will help us resist bids for Tiote, Cabaye and HBA. Then we'll be flying. Maybe there was a plan all along.....

It was probably Pardew smiling again

Last few pages I don't think they quite realise how much trouble they're in. If they're a house of cards, the first one is about to be pulled away. And its all thanks to Super Duper Double Agent Steve 'Purpleface' Brewwwwse.
-
OK we've eased him back in, now its time to start the motherfucker. But it has to be upfront, to lessen the damage of inevitably giving the ball away.
-
Totally agree. A Ridgewell-type and a striker makes us look very tasty.
-
Even if he improves, he'll never be a £35m player* *Although technically he already is.
-
Time and time again he showed how effortlessly amazing he is at football. What a performance.
-
Ramsey didn't play so the midfield was Nani, Silva and Ben Arfa. 3 points between them. FML
-
Definite penalty, dunno why the fans are grieving the ref. Best and Simpson need sorting out. Cabaye and Tiote have been good though.
-
Cant wait. Long range? 25 yards, dipping half-volley. You just don't save those.
-
We should enshrine that article. He HAS to be one of us, theres no way around it.
-
Cabaye's goal will be absolutely lush today. No keeper is saving this....
