  1. In that case, we may as well have sold him for magic beans.
  2. Surprised you're all so happy with £4m. That is 1/5th of a Henderson, 1/8.75th of a Carroll and 1/6th of a Lescott. For £4m, what is the point? I don't think I'll ever understand what made our board do this. Mind you, West Ham are paying him ludicrous money and theres a good chance they won't get promoted. What a strange day
  3. This team and Sir Bobby's team are my favourite Newcastle sides. Its awful seeing it split up, especially when its just for the sake of it. It was nice to be proud of the team and genuinely like the players, but oh well, back to normal again now.
  4. Hmmm I should really stop relying on this as a done deal. He'd suit Everton as well.
  5. If Barton goes, then Colo. If Colo goes, then Harper. If Harper goes, then S Taylor. If S Taylor goes, then Cabaye. If all those go.....it'll be Shola.
  6. Nice to see him having a say and obviously caring. Although it probably increases the chances of him being silenced and sold off too. It's nailed on now. The sale is bad enough on its own, but the knock-on effect will be huge. Today is a big day.
  7. I'm torn between "we have great team spirit, as proved by the promotion and the 4-4" and "the championship was easy and with good players we wouldn't have been 4-0 down". Looks likes we're at a crossroads between having a quality squad and a good group of lads.....but theres no logical reason why we can't have both.
  8. Morons run our club, this is insanity! Not a great player, but his goals and leadership were priceless to us and they've went and fucked it all up. For a few measly million.
  9. This doesn't seem so bad. It's just early on in the summer so theres plenty of time (even though we need to be in there now). Douglas said they weren't after Ba and then we saw that change. It makes too much sense to bring Zoggy in.
  10. Has anybody mentioned that he was a youth player at Watford? He left at 19 as Aidy Boothroyd wasn't a fan.
  11. This is absolutely hilarious To see Villa and Sunderland fall apart at the same time is just......it's just too much. I'm completely overwhelmed By the way, if they had second thoughts on McClaren due to the reaction amongst Villa fans, why are they persisting with McLeish?
  12. Bayern have bought Rafinha and want Boateng, so they're out. Barcelona have probably set their sights higher and that pretty much just leaves Liverpool (who are said to be reluctant to pay his wages). He probably wants to go, but it's no guarantee that somebody wants to get him right now. That's why he hasn't committed yet. He'd like to leave but doesn't want to burn his bridges, just in case he doesn't. Hence the wait. It's annoying, but hopefully Pardew won't make it worse.
  13. Shaqiri > Barnetta. Whoever suggested Onuoha, thats a great call. Although with him being English, we'll most likely baulk at the price.
  14. Sunderland are busy with other signings and selling Gyan Everton need to sell Yobo and Yakubu first Aston Villa don't even have a manager yet It makes complete sense to bid for him now. Not saying that we haven't, but we really must do it now. At the minute only Liverpool might be in the way, but hopefully they want Mata and Adam instead.

    Sunderland...

He's not particularly great, but it'd be a disaster for Sunderland if they let Gyan go too. Hilarious Of course, if they spend that money well they could do great, but Bruce has already let that ship sail.....selling star players and replacing them with crap. This sounds too good to be true. May as well offer them Perch and Smith for £5m.
  16. Can't believe the negativity - even on here. We're only halfway through June and we've overachieved with one signing, almost did so with two others and are still pursuing quality players. Ba is on a free transfer!!! The bonus is that he's very good and we'll structure the contract so theres little risk for us. OK, I'm not excited about Erding, but after having a good think I still can't think of who else we can buy thats realistic, excellent and affordable. We're probably going into next season with a stronger squad, plus the returns of HBA and Gosling. If being active in the transfer market is a bad thing, just remember how it was in January - a hell of a lot worse.

    Fraser Forster

So Pardew rates the SPL so badly, he decided to buy a player from there? As if.

    Copa América

In FFT's 'Brazil in Crisis' mega-feature, they keep mentioning Lucas (SP) in the same breath as Ganso and Neymar. As a three, they could be marvellous.
  19. I bet we get Arsenal at home, so Sky can hope for another 4-4.

    Mevlüt Erdinç

To counteract the two letters of Ba
  21. Forum-wide piss up if Enrique signs a new deal. No matter which night it is!
  22. Aston Vil-LOL. LMAOston Villa. Aston ROFLcopter.
