  1. Exactly right. Also, his was the only realistic game plan. If he'd have gone out to outplay Barca he would have got absolutely murdered. Yep its the only way to beat Barca. It mightn't ALWAYS work, but its proven its worth.
  2. sidlowe Sid Lowe Loads of caveats, of course, but tonight's result indicative of why (Mourinho thought) 0-0 a good result in first leg for home team -------- Interesting point. Mourinho can claim that, if it wasn't for the referee, his plan would've played out.
  3. Much better game this week. Barca are lush. Nice to see Abidal back.....roll on Wembley!!!
  4. Why not just swap the red for white, you mentalist? Because that would mean the white would be the primary colour, our home shirt should be black with white stripes. Agree with you here. If one colour should be more predominant, it should always be black imo. True dat.
  5. all those players and not a single one from us
  6. They'd have to get rid of Rossi first and I'd imagine such a big money move would take time. Where has Rossi been linked with? Scouting at Anderlecht could be anyone out of Biglia, Legear, Proto or Lukaku tbh. Theres a lot of talent there and in Belgium as a whole. Maybe we could pop in and look at Steven Defour?

    Sunderland...

Bet it upset Muntari, what with Sunderland being a lovely cosmopolitan city.
  8. I've been thinking this all day. Tried to pinpoint where it happened, but failed miserably.
  9. I'll be Puncheon a hole in the wall if he signs...
  10. by the way, he chose the biscuit and is saving the ice cream for after the Schalke game. exciting times.
  11. Would like Forest to go up, but Reading have the momentum. Cardiff are turning into the Arsenal of the Championship - its failure after glorious failure. Wigan and Blackpool being replaced by Norwich, OPR and Forest would be great news for us traditionalists.
  12. Its like 2D pitch on FM, when you've cranked the match speed to the very top.
  13. keep thinking "why are they putting Joey Barton at right back?". i'm falling for it every time
  14. so we're no closer to knowing what he'll do, but its obvious he still loves the club. like all players, his head will be turned when offers come in (and they will)....once that happens, they usually go. could go either way, but i'm leaning towards pessimism here.
  15. Feel sad for Plymouth, what they did for us was lovely. Chuffed that Southampton are back though.....teams promoted from League 1 regularly go for the double promotion. Now to get both Sheffields back!

    Players in public

Jose wasn't slouching and looking sad was he?

    La Liga - 10/11

that is a bargain - what a player!! bit gutted though because dortmund are just getting good and now they're getting split up. looks like they're replacing him with Ilkay Gundogan from Nuremberg.
  19. The story of 'Old Yeller' comes to mind....

Can't wait for his next tweet. What's he gonna do next - buy an Aero from the shop? Shred some paper? More please, Michael.
  21. de Bleeckere (one of the referees that Mourinho slagged off on Wednesday night) has been made ref for Clasico #4 this Tuesday.
  22. 38 points, so not quite. They're away to two of those below them and home to Man United.
  23. Some great 'all on the line' matches coming up. Theres the match at Old Trafford, Spurs vs 4th and 6th place and relegation matches involving Wham, Wigan, Wolves and Blackburn. Really looking forward to them.
  24. Whilst Redknapp didn't get a striker, his three signings were VdV, Gallas and Sandro, all of which have been a success. Certainly doesn't feel like he 'fucked it up'. Mind you, if yous do ship a few, can we have Kranjcar or maybe O' Hara please? Thanks
  25. Jose leaving doesn't feel like the worst thing in the world any more, but if we can cheer him up it'd benefit us a lot more than the money. Can't see Liverpool being at all impressed by his 'performance' today.
