he should have been fucking sacked after the Liverpool match at home last season.

but it is typical of the club to move slower in the transfer market than a three legged tortoise in a tar pool. we've known since january that we've needed to bring at least one striker in this summer, bringing Remy in on loan is fair enough but surely we should have a list of strikers with more than just Gomis name on?

From my memory every team in the Premier League era to have the Brazil kit as their away kit has been relegated that season. Crystal Palace (twice) and Swindon -

Yellow shorts and socks with that blue trim wouldn't be too bad, Villarreal style -
i'd not lose a second of sleep if we were in a cup final and one of our players cheated to win

Am i right in remembering we made a £1m profit on selling Dyer, or did we just get our money back? Either way, a fantastic bit of business on our part

i can't help but have deja-vu of signing Damien Duff for the same price for some reason regardless of their positions, would you rather? : pay £5m for a 29 year old Stewart Downing or £5m for a 29 year old Darren Bent?

Commissioned and paid for by the club, and fair play to them for that. Sadly still feel a twinge of disappointment whenever I go past it, and far prefer the strength of the Milburn statue. But I suspect very few would have captured him in a way I think he deserves, and hope that over time it the weathering will add to its gravitas. Thanks for that. It was done by the same chap that created one of the Milburn statues (the statue that Milburn's daughter preferred, I think). I know that one of the Milburn statues was funded entirely by supporters, which is why I asked. Hibernian recently lost the last of the 'Famous Five' and a naturally the topic of having a statue commissioned is being discussed. I was interested to find out as much about the feasibility of this as possible and Newcastle was the first club that came to mind. I think Tom Maley made another statue but I forget which club - Middlesbrough/Sunderland, perhaps. I think he did a cracking job and it'll stand the test of time. Whilst I do love our statue of Sir Bobby, I think the one Ipswich have is probably a better sculpture http://www.inthestands.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Bobby-Robson-Statue.jpg I'm so immensely proud that Sir Bobby was our manager

I understand but disagree with the massive patch on the back but there's no need for the stripes to be broken on the front of the shirt. and the beaver teeth look stupid. I've not bought any of the shirts since Puma took over as they've all been pretty poor and from what I've seen of this season's kits I can't see that changing any time soon -

Yup, lime-green kit came out in August. Home kit 13th July. Aye but the European kit release tied in with a european game surely? I hated wearing it at home. Wear it outside then. -
