The same Andy O'Brien and Dabizas that was at the hear of our defence in he Champions league and when we finished 3rd and 4th? I often hear the likes of O'Brien and Dabizas being called s**** etc but for me they wernt s****, The pair of them along with Hughes might not have set the world alight but they were certainly better than alot of the dross we've had at the back. O'Brien was appauling...a passenger for his whole NUFC career. I only know he played because it says so on wikipedia Cant agree with that like. He was solid with Woodgate during our peak at Robsons era. He did turn shite tbf when Souness took charge but to say he was a passenger for his whole career is a little harsh. As for Dabizas, he'll alway remain special for that winner against the mackems!

I'd be very suprised if Steve Harper dosent go on to some coaching capacity. I could imagine Clarence Seedorf stepping into management aswell as somebody has already mentioned.

I think he'll be a decent signing here. Considering our last game we had Kadar and Zurab at the back, the latter of which looks anything but a centre back at the minute. IF his wages arn't extortionate, I think he'll be fairly good as cover for Colo and Taylor. A centre half with bags of experience that could probably still do a job in the prem; cant go wrong when your low on numbers.

As with regards to Guthrie, sometimes people are forgetting that he's being played out of position. He's not a wide midfielder, he's a centre midfielder; a position he hasnt played in since the back end of last season. If we were to put him in the middle, i feel we'd see much more of the player he has the potential to be rather than out wide.
