Does anyone know when Barton's back? Not that I could see him getting in our team anytime soon like.

You'd like to see the quality of football in England decrease just to suit your xenophobia? No, but the influx of foreigners is a bit worrying. La Liga is still to a very good standard yet every team has a lot of Spanish players, same goes for Serie A. It annoys me when teams field a first 11 full of non english players in the English premier league, although that dosent happen to often with the rate of increasing foreign players in the PL it will only get more common. I think it would make the league a bit less money dominated too.

1) I'd like to see a salary cap like. 2) I'd also introduce a minimum of so many foreigners in each starting 11, though I think thats impossible due to some law or other. 3) I'd also like to see a Standing section at each stadium. All 3 will never happen like.

The FA Cup 2009/10 - NUFC get Plymouth (a) in the third round
Doctor Zaius replied to Ashley17's topic in Football
Aye exactly. A good cup run breeds confidence and belief. There's doubts weather we could cop in the Premier league, IF we were to beat a prem team or two it would instill more belief in the players and confidence that they are much better than this level and good enough to stay in the PL. -
Can anyone remember the draw last time. They drag these things out and it takes for-fucking-ever. It's ridiculous normally, you end up sitting there screaming at the suits on the telly to draw the fucking teams! I seem to remember a clip of another world cup draw where they got these little kids to draw the balls, he then took it over to the suits who sent him away leaving the poor kid with a bewildered look on his face.

Jose Enrique out for at least three weeks with hamstring injury

The two quotes from 'Kris' on that article sum up the great unwashed and what those who know them have to put up with on a regular basis. -
Probably already been mentioned but playing music when teams score. Like Boro or Bolton. Village.

Maybe, a season in the championship is what he needs, a season to get his confidence back. We know he has the ability to perform, he's proved that before hence why we paid 10M for him . He's looked good this season in an albeit shite league, he looks a lot calmer on the ball, better in the air and stronger, thats totally different to a Collocini who last season looked weak as water and had the turning speed of Geremi. I seem to remember him whinging last year about joining the club and there was persistent rumours he couldnt settle, although I've no doubt if someone had offered him the wages he's on here he would have been off like a shot but it appears he's settled and got used to the North East. Hopefully if he does stay through January he can carry on his form and take it into the Premiership if we go up, thats when we'll see what he's made of. The same goes for Taylor aswell, I've been a big critisizer of the lad and last season imo he did nothing to change my opinion, hopefully he can develop into the player we hoped. These comments are pleasing, he's not coming out trying to draw intrest from other clubs infact he's done the opposite and said he turned down offers to stay. Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique Has the potential to be a good premiership defence, theres no doubt about that imo lets jsut hope its dosent become unfulfilled potential.

Am I right in thinking that if both finalists in the FA cup have already qualified through the league for Europe the european spot goes to whoever is 7th in the league? Do they still have the intertoto cup these dayswith the new Europa league format? -
Took me a while to catch what you were getting at there. Fixed.

What an absolute fucking idiot that Alan Biggs is. That's article actually annoyed me that has. -
To be fair Jagielka and Lescott have been phenomenal for Everton in recent seasons, especially last year. When you lose two centre backs that have played so well is always going to knock you back and thats why I think they dont look as difficult to break down as they have in the past. It also dosent help when you play 4-5-1 and your relying on a solid shape and back line to lose two quality players. The goals seemed to have dried up from a few players too, Fellaini, Jo and Cahill dont seem to be popping up with goals as much and the injurys to the likes of Yakubu and Arteta taking their tole. I still reckon Everton will finish in the top 8 though, Moyes is a good manager and he'll turn it around so I hope he dosent walk, Their first XI free of injuries is definately one that should be in the top 6.

Tbh I'm just pleased we didnt draw the mackems away. I dont know if i could stomach a derby defeat after the year we've had. Mind having said that their away form is shit so it wouldnt be set in stone. -
Chester against Eastbourne borough in the FA cup abandoned after a pitch invaision by Chester fans in the 75th Minute. They were winning 3-2 aswell!

He was on SSN the other day with a full grown beard. Looked like he'd just came out of a mental hospital. He fell out with more than Bellamy here too, Laurent Robert is obvious and I'm sure Jenas, Dyer and Bernard left on bad terms. Theirs 5 from one club. Seems like his experience here got to him like, everytime I've see him asked about a new job he's categorically denied it. Useless fuck that he is.

Here's a question for you relics, Did you prefer how football was in the 80's to now? Would you rather go back to unlimited away followings, standing on the terraces, shit grounds etc. rather than a money, top 4 dominated Premier league, all seater stadia, lack of atmosphere etc
-
We've sold out for every away league game this season so surely we'll be up there

John Mccririck on soccer AM this morning Edit: He's just mentioned watching porn

Aye I agree. I didnt think his team did too badly. I certainly think we performed better under JFK than we did under Shearer. But after every match he would come out and talk utter utter shite. The man had verbal diarrhea. If we had a goal that was blatently offside he'd come out and argue the toss. If we were legitimatly beaten he'd come out and blame the ref. It got to the point where it was just unbearable. Would he have kept us up? No I dont think so. Will we continue tooi see him in the press throwing his name into the hat for every job and talking utter bollocks at any given chance? Probably.

72min - Pancrate shuffles inside his man on the right after swapping passes with Leadbitter and disptaches a crisp ball into the feet of Adjei in space on the left. The Swede works the ball on to his right peg and is unlucky not to net as a measured curler lands on the roof of Cook's goal. Jesus christ he can Shuffle too! Lord only knows how this guy hasnt been signed by anyone yet!

I've said this for a while but I fully expect him to go in January, but if it's to the mackems, it would be one MASSIVE kick in the teeth like. I Find it's strange how he hasn't been linked with Liverpool yet; he's Spanish, they've got Insua as first choice left back and although he's young he hasnt impressed me and Dossena for cover who's absolute garbage. I think Jose is good enough to play top 4 standard as it is and he's still relitively young.
