  1. We've played far worse than this in the past. Two moments of quality have undone us. Not surprising, since our quality has either been sold off, is injured, or on the bench.
  2. If that revenue is next season, our profits are going through the roof.
  3. What about the increased television revenue? Where does that factor in?
  4. I was standing with the guys today, and while most people were supportive at the ground I've been called all manner of things on social media. Retarded, a mong, a cunt, etc.
  5. I can play GK for a bit if necessary. Seems quite slow on the up take this year.
  6. I'm good with the floodlit idea. Never done that before!
  7. I'm afraid as much as time4change and others would like you to believe there has been no mass cancellation of season tickets. The number cancelled is not even in 3 figures Just wondering how we know the number?
  8. It's over now like, far too late.
  9. We don't sign this lad, it'll be 18 months without a senior signing permanently by the end of the season. If he does it's still only one. Absolute joke. By the end of that time we'll also have removed Harper, Perch, Simpson, Gutierrez, Cabaye and most likely Remy from the senior squad.
  10. BBC Latest: Lyon reject Newcastle bid, "clubs remain some way apart" and it remains to be seen if Newcastle will come back with an improved bid, looking like an increasingly difficult target.
  11. D'you know what? I don't even care. I'm watching this feeling like a neutral. Cheers Mike.
  12. Maybe Giggs, but I hadn't read it before. http://diminbeirut.typepad.com/my-blog/2012/10/corruption-and-influence-peddling-in-the-english-game.html And another interesting one, although probably more paranoid than the first: http://blog.emiratesstadium.info/archives/27183
  13. You could look at that and say that the referee, had he sent Newcastle players off, would have drawn more attention to their overall performance (and therefore the decision they made for the goal). Whilst I'm certain they're corrupt, I do think they do their best to hide it where possible.
  14. Corruption. He's spoken to his assistant to find if there was any excuse they could find to rule out the goal.
  15. Newcastle boss Alan Pardew on Cheick Tiote's disallowed goal: "We're in an entertainment business and the guy's hit a wonder goal that Joe Hart isn't going to save. "I'm not thrilled with the referee's answer when I've asked for an explanation as I don't quite get how he can disallow a goal of that quality on the technical point he is using. "Joe Hart is nowhere near it. It goes through a crowd of City players who are impairing his view. "It's a massive call on a very technical point. "Pellegrini said something to me on the touchline which I wasn't happy with, it was normal banter where I probably used words I shouldn't have in the heat of the moment and I apologise for that." -- Not exactly gone for the jugular. He's actually apologised.
