Interesting indeed. Just shows how much influence Ferguson has. Criminal. Mike Dean refereed the MUFC v Southampton game last month. -

Yeah, but you're totally negative about everything concerning Newcastle United, so nothing new there. Have you ever been to Newcastle? It's quite an upbeat place and a visit may lift your spirits somewhat. Dunno man, I came out of the last home game and there was a guy with police around him lying on the ground with a police jacket over him. Two lads were walking past, one goes, "I think he's in shock." The other guy goes, "He's been shot, like!?" "No," the first replies, "he's in shock." -
The issue is that with the way we play, which is too often lobbed long balls, you need to be playing Ameobi with one of Ba or Cisse, since he acts as the target man and holding up the ball is his strength. I agree that Ba and Cisse could work, but it would take more focused play through the centre and we don't really do that enough.

Cisse scoring was good, and Tavernier looks like he will make it. Vuckic, Gosling and Marveaux though? Nah. -
Floated set penis to Williamson/Taylor at back post

As happened in the last game, our set pieces are so weak they're more of a risk than a help. It's more likely that the opposition will break and score than it is that we will. I'd rather we took short corners occasionally, or tried Cabaye doing that Gerrard style run across the box. Just mix it up. -
Hearing that he wakes in pain everyday, because of his ankle, makes me feel for the lad.

Tbf, most of the "fouls" were absolutely nothing. But I agree on the general point.

If it's going to be like this for as long as he's here, he can go.

Just looking back at the start of this thread, when people wanted him sold or shipped off to the arse end of Sudan. Since then, he's really not improved statistically, yet has developed full-blown cult hero status. Why do people think that is? Personally, I love Shola despite his faults now. Has everyone just given up hope and accepted him for what he is.

He showed plenty enough reflexes to save the over-the-line goal. Yes, he's much weaker than he used to be, but I'd still fancy him over Elliot. He's not the second coming of the apocalypse. Can't wait till Krul's back in, and yes Harper may let a few in that Krul would save, but it's not like he's going to walk the ball into his own net. Edit: Must be pretty cynical. Don't think there's been a first apocalypse yet.

Thought he did well to get an arm on that over-the-line goal tbh.

Maybe because it says absolutely nothing. "Look, Xisco hasn't gone on loan." That's really it.
