I thought Anita was superb once moved centrally for us. Worked his heart out and disrupted so much of their play.

He'd never get booked, but the only reason Tiote feels the need to lunge in the way he does is to make up distance lost because of Colback.

I think when you view the Tiote incident in isolation, it's touch and go. If it was Cattermole on Cabaye, we'd be complaining it wasn't a red. I think it's a yellow, definitely. But if Tiote's is a red then the kick on Ameobi is a a minimum yellow, if not red, as has been said on here. Hopefully the intensity with which we played in the first half pre-red card can be carried into our next games. We'll need it against West Brom.

I've said for years there's corruption in refereeing. Anywhere where that much money is at stake, and with a governing organisation such as FIFA, it's naive to believe there won't be corruption. RVP not being charged, for the reason listed above, is just the latest in a long line of evidence.

Yeah, but you're totally negative about everything concerning Newcastle United, so nothing new there. Have you ever been to Newcastle? It's quite an upbeat place and a visit may lift your spirits somewhat. Dunno man, I came out of the last home game and there was a guy with police around him lying on the ground with a police jacket over him. Two lads were walking past, one goes, "I think he's in shock." The other guy goes, "He's been shot, like!?" "No," the first replies, "he's in shock."

The issue is that with the way we play, which is too often lobbed long balls, you need to be playing Ameobi with one of Ba or Cisse, since he acts as the target man and holding up the ball is his strength. I agree that Ba and Cisse could work, but it would take more focused play through the centre and we don't really do that enough.

Just saw that Ben Arfa and Ba are our only two goalscorers this season in the Premier League...
