It's painful when you start coming to this realization. We are being taken the p*ss out of, and most of us choose to sit and take it. Carver has nothing of substance about him, and nor do most of our players. The owner doesn;t give a s***, and we have absolute morons like Ryder writing about us thinking his words are influential. I don't buy the whole "didn't have a choice but to support NUFC because I'm from the area" thing. There are plenty of Geordies out there with no interest in football. We all make a choice at some point in our lives, for a reason or another to support NUFC, Geordies or not. It almost feels as though these reasons are vanishing one by one with every embarrassing episode.

The interview where he apologized after the match was as insincere as any I've seen.

I hate everything about the way NUFC is run. We clearly aren't in the business of competitive football. It is getting so difficult to see a point in continuing to support us. If Satka isn't good enough (as a young reserve player), then why is he still here? If he's not good enough then why did al pards and now carver sing his praises? I hope he starts at CB. Even if we get humiliated, so fucking what? That's life. If he has anything about him, he'll not take it personally and learn from it and grow. If a beating off Arsenal is going to ruin his career then he was never meant to make it. -
The only way Colo's tackle should have been appealed is if there was any doubt as to whether he got a bit of the ball or not (had it been that type of tackle). Take for example Habib Beye's last man challenge which earned him a red card at the time. The FA correctly reversed the referee's decision when video evidence showed he had got the ball. Colo's tackle had no such circumstances and should never have been appealed.

Captained Bolasie to try and move away from the rabble around me, and it worked -
Not really. I see absolutely no discernible difference between the two of them whatsoever.

I will not judge him on that idiotic lunge. Could have happened to anyone. He has been utter crap though, even when not making rash tackles. In the grand scheme of things however, I applaud him for making Carver's job even more difficult. We simply cannot start next season with him in charge (whatever division we might be in).

I wouldn't say that Janmaat has been that good tbh. He's had his moments going forward, but has looked a bit vulnerable defensively, and I wouldn't say he's top four material. True. He's still about 6.3 billion times better than Glen f***ing Johnson though.

Just seen the slow motion clip. Fucking hell, Evans the dirty prick knew exactly what he was doing. He spat directly and with full intent at Cisse. There's absolutely not doubt about that.

Newcastle United 0 - 1 Man United - post-match reaction from page 24

Sissoko was at CB for half the time ffs. It really is so fucking obvious that we don't actually do any movement/training with the ball, and we simply focus on fitness and countering the opposition. It's shocking for a standard as high as the top tier of English football. -

This is the absolute worst idea ever. Can't wait for things to completely go wrong either with shitstain FIFA or that shitstain country. -
Nah. Still hate him with every fibre of my being. He's an utter cunt who doesn't deserve the luxurious life he steals. I wish his football career the very worst.

Miss you so much Sir Bobby. Happy Birthday.

I know we're a cheap tatty club these days, but that's not even a footballing backwater dumpster I'd like to even think about.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Keith Andrews appointed at Brentford
themanupstairs replied to cp40's topic in Football
No offence at all to brummie, but i've just seen this, and   I can understand that there isn't a dearth of managers out there to choose from, and it is definitely better than appointing the likes of Redknapp/Venables/Curbishly....but fucking hell... Who knows though. He might turn out to be a genius just waiting for his chance. -
And what could they have done about it even had they listened? Poor sods. Fuck them though as they seem a right cuntish bunch.

Hate Liverpool and Gerrard. Hate Pardew more. Glad about tonight's result. Hope Liverpool get knocked out next round. But if you told me before the game that Gerrard is guaranteed to win the cup on his birthday in his last ever game for the mighty reds by knocking out al pards and palace, I would have taken it.

I look at a player like Ayoze and think that intelligence doesn't necessarily come with age or experience. His vision of the pitch and natural understanding for the game is something Lukaku lacks completely. Lukaku needs to be "developed" into the world class striker he can clearly become. The lad has immense talent and physical presence. Maybe his manager forgets that he's still so young and relies too much on him as a senior player.
