  1. Yup. I give in. There. I've admitted defeat. Can no longer justify any kind of support for Mike Ashley, or his system. Still think Keegan is to blame a fair bit for the way he left, but since then Ashley has made a massive array of mistakes, from which we may find it hard to recover.
  2. Yup. If goals were coming from other players, while Owen got through his bad patch, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. FFS even Wayne Rooney went through bad spells where he didn't score for ages. Doesn't make him s*** does it! Please don't compare Rooney to Owen. Rooney impacts the game in an infinite number of ways, particularly when he isn't scoring goals. He definitely makes up for it in all areas of the pitch. Shocking comparison. Not the point. Goalscorers take a hit in the ego when they're not scoring. Signs of frustration show in their game, and the longer the streak goes for, the less impact they have.
  3. We're losing there alright. Also you just KNOW Bellamy will score against us. Again.
  4. Written off in -1 Newcastle games, its a record M'Bia OUT! Nevermind that!!! M'Bia CUNT!!!
  5. Yup. If goals were coming from other players, while Owen got through his bad patch, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. FFS even Wayne Rooney went through bad spells where he didn't score for ages. Doesn't make him shit does it!
  6. Couldn't give a rat's sperm sample where Sunderland finish. I want them to lose every game, naturally, and I want us to pound them every derby game. Other than that, what matters is that Newcastle do well, and fuck all else.
  7. Thought so as well. Although there will be some here that will strongly object to the phrasing Ashley's Apologists. These same people would most likely be able to tell us what Mr Ashley consumed for dinner last night, such is the depth of the brown-nosing which has gone on for over a year now ie. he's put his own money into the club, priorities are balancing the books etc etc. Let me ask you something. What motivation do you think the Ashley Apologists have for "brown-nosing" the man? Other than a strong belief that the man should be given the time and chance to do his thing, learn from his mistakes, and try to move this club forward. Whether or not he will achieve his objectives, and the degree to which they fall in line with our hopes and dreams as fans is another story. But why crucify a man who's been here a relatively short time, and who is by all accounts a shrewd and unconventional business person with a deep hatred for the London press (something most NUFC fans have developed over the years). There isn't a Newcastle fan out there who wants to see the club do badly, and that ranges from the NE5's of this world, to the DOF supporters, and everyone else in between.
  8. It keeps some off their backs. TBF one thing it has done is give the press something to write about and divert attention away from the players who are wanting away, which was all they had to write about before. That may have may have been his intention in coming out with all this stuff this week. If so, even if everything he has said is just made up, fair play to him as it makes us look like a buying club rather than a selling club which is not what you want when trying to get players to join. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit, but it's another angle on it. If he has been doing that I'm sure he'll tell us how clever he's been after the window's shut. Tbh that could be a fair assessment. Looking at JFK's latest interview on the beeb, where he talked about Geremi leaving and the bid for Mbia, he did not look like he was telling the whole truth. I would not be surprised if the whole thing is a charade/smokescreen either for what would end up a very good transfer window, or a totally disastrous turn of events that possibly sees Joe quit the club.
  9. How anyone could not rate any part of O'Neill's management is absolutely beyond me ; he is the man WE should have had and, had he been stupid enough to come to the comedy show that is Newcastle United, we would have been doing as well as Villa are now - IF he had been allowed to manage in his own way... The last part of your post is the key though. No guarantees that he would have done any better than the previous incumbents under the clown that was Shepherd, or the mess that is Ashley. Good manager he is though, and to question his transfer policy in general is a bit daft when you look at their league position.
  10. The day Kaka signs for Man City will be the day Mark Hughes is shown the door.
  11. so the opinion of an agent is taken over the scouts what else do you know for a fact son? please do tell, share your knowledge with us
  12. confirmed by JFK that Geremi's been talking to Besiktas
  13. OMG keep geremi! I remember the game. Monster performance from him that night.
  14. Are you the Rennes chairman or summat? I believe Joe when he says we've made a bid. I don't believe the fee. Remember the owners' tactics when it comes to transfers. It's been smokescreens and fluff for the media, and nee fucker will have a clue until it's been signed sealed and delivered.
  15. O rly? But but but but but Keegan was a genius!!! In all seriousness though, I think it was a decent decision at the time, to mend bridges, and also boost Owen's ego as he was asked to play in a deeper role. In any case, Keegan should have recognized that our best captain by far would be Habib Beye, and given him the armband at the start of this season.
  16. So is Kaka, Bentley, Ballack, Deco and Drogba. What's your point? Ayw faor enough and cheap enough if we get him for that price. Exactly. If anything, and the boy is talented, his shit-ness this season has lowered the asking price. Let's hope so
  17. Finnan is twice the player Neill is to begin with. Definitely go for him first. Having said that, Id take Neill on loan but would not be happy with a permanent contract for him on his wages.
  18. Which of our players really cares about the club? :S Jonas, Taylor, Martins and Shay Jonas? says who? he's been here 5 minutes! I'd say Beye and Shola
  19. Aye and I saw Kaka coming out of ours. Shay was meant to be at Spurs yesterday morning as well! Can't wait to find out if this is true or not. If it is, then Shay can fuck off as there is no worse place for him to go atm. If it's not, then I will definitely have to cunt some random Spurs fan in the jaw, and I tell you, there's no feeling like it.
