but relegation COULD be a good thing innit!! steve gibson is losing more and more of his "great chairman" reputation by the game. they could be massively f***ed if they get relegated. Relegation would be good for Southampton. It would allow them to clean themselves inside and out - they didn't do it when they dropped from the Prem, but will get new ownership pretty soon who should be able to restructure the whole club. Still sad to see such a big team drop though. Who would have thought that Charlton and Southampton would be 2 of the 3 teams going down, at the beginning of the season. Agreed, although I'd rather see Charlton go down that the Saints. Yes, Liverpool playing well.......lets hope they lose, and lose bad.

I'm staying on a 6. Lose against Stoke and it'll be up to a 8 or 9

He's played every single game for us this season, I think its taking its toll on him but more mentally than physically.
-
I think we'll look a whole lot better next week with Bassong and Taylor back. Imo, we should go for: ----------------Harper------------- --Beye---Taylor---Bassong---Enrique-- ----Jonas---Guthrie---Butt---Duff--- ----------Owen-------Carroll---------

We look OK. I think everyone expected us to come out like a house on fire, hence why the atmosphere has gone flat. They just cant seem to keep the ball and its infuriating. Just simple little passes we're letting go astray which is stop us gaining momentum, although we are closing down Chelsea quite well when the get near our half. Ryan Taylor is awful, absolutely awful. His corners and free kicks are just shit. I still think there's something in this for us but we cant let Chelsea score first.

mackems losing 1-0

I'm not sure that's the case, to be honest. In his last few seasons, I recall him being pulled up probably ten to twenty times a game for backing in, whether he was or wasn't (admittedly, he probably was). Maybe slightly exaggerated but I never felt he got away with a lot compared to other players. Ask Uriah Rennie whether the sun shone out of Shearer's arse. Agreed. So far today, whenever the cameras been on him he's been having a laugh with the 4th official. Whats gannin on Alan?

F*CK SAKE!!!!!

Maybe Guthrie aint fully match fit/sharp? Its fairly obvious Al will build the team around players like Owen and Butt, imo.
-
Attacking team, obviously. F*CKING C'MOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!

Did his bus headrest have 'Bass' on it? I actually wouldn't be surprised if it did!

His mind. Thank fk for that

Olympiakos of all teams! Very random transfer. Strange decision though, its not like Jason Roberts is prolific infront of goal...

The two times we've gone out with a good gameplan this year, Man Utd (a) and Man Utd (h), Jonas has been very good. In the first game we set out with an attacking mindset and distributed the majority of our play down the flanks which Jonas shone because of it- he was immense that day. The second game we set up to play a counter attacking game and again, we played most of our football through Jonas wide on the left. Clearly, Al has seen what a threat he can be and, as they say, is using our strengths to our advantage.....something we don't do enough. Nice one, Shearer!

Half way there with Spurs...

I haven't a clue. I must of been about 4 or 5 at the time so I didn't have a clue. Can remember where I was when we signed Micheal Owen, though. Still, just not the same...

Its almost like Shearer's returned to play for us! The buzz is just brilliant! i just wish i was able to go to the match. I've loved Shearer since I've loved Newcastle...and football.

Who's that lying on the carpet, who's that lying on the floor, oh its Wisey on his back because Big Al gave him a smack and he wont be screwing *Geordies anymore!!! Who's that...... Tune: The munich aircrash song/whos that team we call united *= I couldn't think of anything else that fits in there concerning NUFC (anyone got any other suggestions?). True, Shearer didn't smack him, but lets just say it anyway!

Well those people are not professional athletes who should be on top of their game each day. So, professionalism is the sole preserve of the highly paid? I'm not arguing that pro athletes shouldn't go out on the piss, btw. Just something a bit hypocritical going on so I'm playing devil's advocate here. http://members.arstechnica.com/x/nastro/devils_advocate.jpg I don't understand. It's Homer playing a pinball game called 'Devil's Advocate'....

Was saying this to me father this morning. I dont see why football should be an exception.....just because they earn much more money doesnt give them the right to fuck about.
