In terms of this, you have to feel sorry for supporters of teams such Luton, Oxford, (then) Wimbledon etc who missed what will probably be their only chance to watch their team play competitive European football. Probably diddled Everton out of a couple of European Cup last 4's at least n all. Aye, you certainly do. I've never thought about it that way...

Since when has the club bothered to listen to the fans? That (well written) letter wont change a thing. I've given up any hope that the board will not appoint Kinnear. He'll be forced out by the fans at some time next season and we'll start all over again with another shit manager. I think there's a few more years of torment and pain awaiting us...

Good job Liverpool havnt been to Roma recently. Their fans will somehow find a way to murder a load of Italians involving crushing them under a wall, and get all English teams banned from Europe again...

Is it time for alcohol laws in football stadia to be relaxed ?
Mistle17 replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
:jesuswept: Who cares about drinking when fans get hassled for standing ffs? Watching a match in this country is an absolute joke, and fans are the last thing on the FA's agenda. well said. I hate the way fans are treated. It just makes me so jealous seeing places like Germany have such freedom in the stands.....English fans are treated like cattle. -
Agreed. Great to see him back. I'll never forget him in the 98 world cup, I thought he was magic. He was class in 2002 as well... Such a shame to see a player like him waste away...

I think we should be more concerned with trying to bring back standing areas in the ground than allowing drink... Aye, I always see that end go mad whenever Everton score. -
Who do you think will be relegated this season?

Same. I think the bottom half of the table could well end up in the order that the poll is on... -

Being so fed up of the crap served out week in week out I made bets recently with a man u and chelski fan that we'd stay up. I was really confident...then I saw our upcoming fixtures...man u, chelski, liverpool etc etc... TBH, if Nicky Butt is considered your best midfielder, there's not much to say really. I've learnt to just cop it and try to latch and hold onto any small weaknesses that arise in other teams e.g. When Scolari was sacked and when Tottenham were below us. Loved the latter especially. I'd say Barton is considered our best central midfielder. I'd like to think Butt is considered third choice behind Guthrie, but that might be too much to ask of our management. I'd say 4th choice. Nolan's better.

I think everyone has said that getting relegated will be a disaster. Doesn't mean you can't try to look for the positives. I know that, its just some people were gloryfying the Championship a bit too much, imo (nothing wrong with it though).

I'd say Southampton, Leicester, Charlton, Coventry, Leeds fans are all loving lower league football. I'm sure the mackems and West Ham fans were gutted to leave that lower league paradise. Its great to see a lot of people on this thread have a positive frame of mind should the worst happen, but honestly I think thats a bit of a fantasy your dreaming of. Relegation will effect the club very badly. OK, we'll be a big name that will attract the best of the rest, but we'll have to put up with every team treating our games as 'cup finals'. This would mean putting up with having 10 men behind the ball against us the whole time and just everyone raising their game for us. It wont be nice. We'll lose are our good players, (favorites like Bassong, Beye, Jonas and Oba) and face a major rebuilding task that wont be easy. I just find it hard to put a positive spin on relegation.....but we'll just have to get up and get on with it if it does happen. Sure, they'll be new grounds to visit, but are you really going to wake up on the morning and think 'Yes!!! Get in, a trip to Bloomfield road today!', are you? Or a nice trip down to Home Park in Plymouth?.... The best thing we can hope for is that Leeds get promoted to the Championship!

Nowt wrong with it, like. Seems like you cant say a bad word about anyone these days. God, I'd LOVE to see what the likes of Richard 'PC' Keys and Andy 'No end sympathy' would have to say about this! I missed out Jamie 'fucks his dad' Redknapp because, well.....I hate him. Prick. But if a mackem player said that they 'hate' Newcastle in the run up to a Tyne-Wear derby, it'd just add spice to it. It'd be great, imo. There'd be a more than hostile reception waiting for him with our fans, but I wouldnt get that offended. It would just make it sweeter when we win! On another note I hope Man Utd fucking hammer those cheating, murdering scouse bastards tomorrow!

I'll watch Newcastle whatever way I can next season....
