  1. What does it mean then? It isn't hard to understand really. See Cisse getting the assist for HBA goal against Villa, when it was Remy's work that created the chance. So if Ben Arfa has the ball on the wing, Santon overlaps and takes away their FB allowing Hatem to cross and we score directly from that, Santon should get the assist credit? You don't work for ProZone do you? Tell me where i said anything remotely like that. Jesus.

His CV before here: Reading, West Ham, Charlton and Southampton. You get what you fucking pay for. Nowt for nowt.
  3. Handy weekend. £20 on Arsenal -1 @ evens. £2 on Chelsea DNB, Spurs, Saints, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal @ 10/1.
  4. Good. If it means we don't have to suffer under Pardew's wank, patronizing comments then I'm all for it. From a journo's pov, it's a farce. The hierarchy are building walls and freezing out their only source of support left at this stage. I think today will signal the collapse of the club this season.

Time to go (far overdue). Benfica cant save you now you fucking coward.

  7. You can't judge players like Marveaux and Anita under this clown of a manager. We completely discard their strengths as players as we suffer from a lack of attacking organisation and don't play a possession based game.
  8. A quality player who both fans and manager ridicule. That pass he made for Cisse against either Stoke or Fulham last year was cutting edge, that's what he's all about. But he's played out on the wing instead of behind the striker/as a No.10. Why is this? Why? Fucking why, you stupid blind cunt, Pardew? He doesn't have the pace to be a winger or inside forward. What he does best is drop into pockets of space between the lines and create. But it's fine, lets just slate him and call him ineffective and useless because he cant play well out of position. And for those calling Obertan as an 'impact' substitute, you need a smack. If I wanted us to run down the clock, then yes, I might bring him on if I was having a hellish nightmare. All he does is run into cul-de-sacs by the corner flags. He can't beat a man ffs, his pace is undermined by his lack of technical ability and intelligence. Utter turbo shite, man.
  9. And as for the tactical setup today.....it stank of incompetence. The way Pardew sets us up, his lack of knowledge and a philosophy completely contradicts a false 9 4-3-3. For this to work we must have powerful forward runners in behind (Gouffran, Sissoko, Remy) to stretch their back 4 and increase chances of penetration. But we didn't have that, it was completely static. We struggle to penetrate teams enough as it is, so when we have our striker and arguably most talented player dropping as deep as the centre circle with the ball and no forward support, it makes no sense. If Hatem drops off in between the lines, our wingers should be pinning their full backs deep, potentially pealing off in behind or, if one of their CB's decides to vacate his position, a bursting forward run from Cabaye or Sissoko can penetrate that space created. But as usual, the play was all in front of them, leaving their slow, laboured back line with a very easy job. Then he completely contradicts himself after spouting all that bollocks about 'being attacking' and 'controlling the game' beforehand. Rubbish. With a 3v2 in central midfield we should have bossed them. We should have played high up the pitch with a staggered midfield 3- Tiote sitting in front of the (vulnerable) CB's, Cabaye in front as our play maker and Sissoko ahead looking to support and get beyond our CF/F9. But nothing. We should have eaten Cattermole alive today. But that's it, every single fucking week 'we should', 'we should have', 'why don't we'. Fucking bollocks. Why the fuck would you change to a 4-4-2 consisting of Shola and Remy? Why Shola? Go direct against two giant CB's and waste the talents of Ben Arfa and Cabaye. Only this mong would do that. Sissoko was poor today, so why not switch to 4-2-3-1, bring Anita on alongside Tiote to help increase possession and further control the game, sit in front of the defence, let Santon and Debuchy bomb forward, push Cabaye up further forward to dictate and create, and have inside forwards creating space for overlaps and cutting inside with Remy or Ben Arfa up front looking to run in behind off a pass from Cabaye. So, so, so, so fucking desperate and unimaginative its un-fucking-believable man. We have a woeful 'plan' 'A', and no plan 'B' to switch to. It's embarrassing. Just fuck off.
  10. I remember Wullie said it after the disgrace at home last; the hex has been broken (by Pardew/mackems). We're now very beatable in derbies under this regime and are rapidly becoming second rate in these games. Today, 0-3, and even the 1-1 (Shola last minute at home) have all been in the post with Pardew in charge. Absolute disgrace. No other manager under any other hierachy would even have made it to this game, let alone be allowed to stay after it- and that's the fucking disgraceful thing; he will be allowed to stay. Through incompetence at board level and, dare I say it, incompetence in the stands. Our support has been ground down, become apathetic. We won't revolt. Derby or not- they are the worst team in the league by a mile. Worse than Palace. Worse than anyone else. We should be turning these sloggers over no problem. But we suffer under a coach who's state of paranoia and incompetence is on a different level to anything else I have seen. I don't want to talk to anyone, I don't want to watch other football to take my mind off it. I am fucking disgusted at what this club has become. Today, like the last game, will take a long time to get over. It is repulsive that we have been reduced to getting beaten twice in a row off sunderland. I actually cannot accept it. I hate football and I thoroughly, thoroughly hate what our club has become. Fuck off.
  11. With the attacking players that we have at our disposal who are capable of hurting them, it would be ridiculous not to go there and try and pummel them from the off. As always, we have a far superior side yet there's a lot of doubt (aside from the derby aspect). We should win this, but I think a nervy draw is on the cards. Both to score.
  12. So many places I want to experience. A lot of historic stadiums I must see before they are vacated- Mestalla being one of them. In Spain, I must go to a Seville derby, up to Galicia to Depor's Riazor, and then to Rayo Vallecano, Vincente Calderon, Malaga and of course the Bernabeau and Nou Camp/El Classico. The Lisbon derby between Sporting and Benfica would be ace too. Then in Italy there's so many appealing clubs and derby's. The Ultras culture in Italy and Germany looks especially exciting, whilst Ajax and Feyenoord are two clubs I would love to visit. Then there's Olympiakos-Panathinaikos which looks mental, as do many games in Croatia- Hadjuk Split and Dynamo Zagbreb in particular. I could literally go on and on! I'm so jealous of those who have already experienced it
  13. Are people still boycotting the Leeds game or now that we've won 2 on the bounce people will go back and ignore the problem?
  14. Quite a depressing thought travelling down to Villa tomorrow. Glad I won't be there.
  15. We were within touching distance of finishing in the top 4 a couple of seasons back- with an over achieving squad. We had a few big hitters (Ba, Cisse, Ben Arfa, Cabaye) who kept us up there. With our manager there was no way it was sustainable without investment last summer, especially considering those around us strengthened whilst we halted to a standstill. We scouted well in 2011 summer and went from a mid-table team to a top half team. However, for two summers now Ashley has downright refused to invest appropriately- last January doesn't count in my eyes as our season was a bloody wright off by Christmas, which is totally unacceptable, especially considering that we were 'competing' in Europe. With a good manager, quality scouting and sensible investment we could easily break the top 4 imo. Ambition would only propel us to title challengers- look at our support, man! As players have described it, there's a wave of energy and feeling of invincibility at NUFC when things are going well. I cant even remember what that feels like nowadays, though. It's all about building a strong squad. That will never happen under Ashley. He is a compulsive gambler, and none of his reckless gambles involve building and investing in a strong squad. As long as we sell to buy, value balance sheets over results, and have a spineless puppet as a manager, we will never compete.

Think I'll cancel mine in February as well. Even when we finished 5th I was starting to fall out of love with NUFC- the whole SJP disgrace etc. Last season and this summer has just confirmed that. To think that I actually pay money to watch the football Pardew produces and believes in is quite degrading, and combining that with Ashley's Sports Direct FC outlook, you feel like a right mug. It makes me too angry. It's not for me anymore.
  17. Just seen this thread now, wasn't aware we had recruited her. How the hell have we only now hired a strength and conditioning coach?? Only we would be so behind like that.
  18. Aye because every youngster works out, you live and you learn. It was an ironical post btw, shame though, would have liked them to work out. Same, sadly though i fear for any youngsters coming into the club we don't exactly have a history of developing them successfully. True, although we're not alone in that regard. Failing academies are de rigueur these days. We really need to send a deputation to Germany for a few months and talk to those people. Very true, there's so much English football could learn from nations like Germany, however by the time our flight lands back down in England from our visit, they'll have advanced further leaving us constantly behind. If only we could focus a bit more on finding our own blend of ingredients for success.
  19. Everyone knows what will happen; people will talk, grumble and complain. But come our opening home game of the season vs West Ham we'll have a full house and everyone will have renewed, and as things go even more pear shaped people will moan at our good players (Ben Arfa) and sit there brain dead and tell people to hush who actually object to the insulting football and ownership in front of us. Can't wait.

  21. Totally agree with the OP. As you have said, Wullie; football in this country is far beyond the point of return. English football and its clubs, especially, is in ruins.
