Despite a ball not being kicked I'm not feeling confident about the derby. I said that about the last one in the SoS and we were very unlucky not to get 3 points, but I just feel their due a win over us. I pray not though, I'd snap your hand off for a draw!

A good result tomorrow would do wonders for the whole club going into the derby game- and if we get a LB in during the week then even better! As people have stated, Arsenal are there for the taking!

No, because that would be brazenly twisting his words. Well done for being the first though. Why haven't we replaced him then? Surely having two left backs at the club is not that outlandish? Every other team in the division seems to manage it OK. We will replace him. As I've just said, he just pointed out that we couldn't afford to have 2 first choice left backs on our books. Disappointing obviously, but not particularly outrageous either. Especially if we are looking to bring through Furguson and in particular Kadar this year. I think that's a reasonable post, but its just the fact that we have NO left back before our first league game of the season- against a team like Arsenal- is what really kills me. Why should we be in this position? We shouldn't, that's all there is to it. We should have either bought someone weeks ago or stood firm against Liverpool and only sold Jose until we'd signed a replacement for him. Why does everything for this club have to be so difficult? We're a fucking joke.

Jesus the negativity surrounding the club and even just posting on here makes me wonder why I bought one. Not how I imagined the level of excitement at having my first season ticket.

We've obviously forgotten that the loan system exists. If we really are a stuck for cash as we're being told, could we not either keep Enrique or buy an adequate replacement and bring in someone on loan- assuming that saves money compared to a permanent move? It really isn't that hard to figure out but obviously for people who haven't a clue about football it proves quite difficult.

I can see why you have a strong disliking to the man, but I honestly don't think him or any other manager would chose to work in these conditions. All the strings are being pulled by Ashley, it's his fault we are where we are. Pardew may come across as patronising to us, but he's completely devoid of any control. And, of course, if Ashley didn't call the shots, we wouldn't be stuck with this wally.

Well he's a long shot better than Ryan Talyor, or James Perch for that matter. But as Wilson said, the sheer fact that we're talking about such a problem is just un-fucking-acceptable. What really sickens me is that the media and unbearable Sky pundits will suddenly start drooling all over his ability and say what a magnificent 'Liverpool player' he is and how they have one of the best left backs in Europe, how they transformed his career etc. Bull.Shit.

Just bought a ticket for the South East corner in block E four rows from the back! My first ever season ticket and I'm absolutely chuffed to bits I'm moving over on the first week of September so will have to wait till the 24th of that month to see us against Blackburn so I'll be missing the first two games against Arsenal and Fulham, sadly. I know I'll question many a time in the coming days, weeks and months why the hell I spent so much money on one but I'll be singing my heart out each time I go. Can't wait!

Thinking about it, where else would you find a club that is the countries third best supported team (attendance wise) stumbling around with no ambition like us? It's ridiculous. And as said, to say we can't even think of challenging for a UEFA Cup place is simply unacceptable! It almost strikes as a refusal to dream or be ambitious. Sickening.
