  1. Story re-cycled by Ashley via his favourite journo to absolve himself of any blame. Not sure why anyone thinks this was leaked by the PL, it was already in public domain after Staveley’s interview. The heat will be on Mike very soon as new season approaches and the lack of preparation. He needs a fall guy. Indicates things are still at an impasse with the PL.
  2. Surely the Mauriss deal is a red herring. How would he ever pass O&D Test? How could he evidence the funding source? Everything would need to start from scratch. Could be Ashley using any break in exclusivity to leverage Mauriss ‘bid’ to squeeze more out of the Saudis? What’s a few million when you’re worth billions after all?
  3. Didn’t someone post recently that they’d bet 2 grand that the club would still be wholly owned by Fat Mike on 30th June? Inside info or a wild stab in the dark?
  4. Doesn't matter how many teams the PL has working simultaneously on all of these issues there's still only a limited number of decision makers. They aren't just going to rubber stamp whatever their legal and commercial teams have produced. They will need to fully read and understand what they are signing, if it was your signature on the document you would do the same.
  5. Far less concerned by the piracy angle than a late pang of conscience regarding human rights abuses. This is easily solved: PL suits: ‘we’ll allow the takeover as long as you crack down on the piracy of PL football’. Cash wedged Arabs: ‘No probs, consider it done’. PL suits: ‘Welcome to the Premier League!’. Still sure this will go through this week.
  6. Host a knockout tournament purely for teams fielding Covid-19 infected players. Fans can access turnstiles provided they pass the temperature test or have at least two of the Coronovirus symptoms.
  7. Can play games without fans but not without players. They will have to suspend the season today.
  8. Silence suits Ashley down to the ground, of course it can’t drag on for ever and he’ll eventually have to come out and say he’s received no bid or some such bollocks. Still think he’s waiting for his preferred bidder to find the cash which allows him to continue feeding on the corpse of the club into the next decade.
  9. Not going to get many breaking from his own half. Get him on the ball in final third and he’ll create chances and take some.
  10. 40K would turn up just to sit in the Stadium for 90 minutes. When I started going to the match there was regularly 16k in the stadium. The PL fanboys will soon melt away after a couple of seasons in the Champo.
  11. I predict Allerdyce will be in by Xmas. Crowds (actual crowds not tickets sold) will be well under 40k by then so no one will care.
  12. This isn’t NUFC anymore - it can burn to the ground for all I care. If Ashley is still here following relegation then let’s go down again and keep going until he fucks off. The rebuild starts the moment he leaves.
  13. So blowing anything up is out of the question now We've been here before, sounds eerily like the last time Ashley pulled out of selling to buyers from the middle east, I think those ones went on to buy Man City. It probably is just rumours to be honest, but that is how he works, so there must be a good chance of it being true. Everything would tie in nicely, including the statements from BZG. Everything about this add up perfectly. I’m afraid BZG are pissing in the wind. I bet the fat cunt wished he kept Rafa sweet and signed up for another year as this club will be worth fuck all in 6 months.
  14. When Ashley finally fucks off it will be pinpointed that the moment Rafa walked through the door was the moment Ashley’s game was up. You can kill the man (metaphorically) but you can’t kill the idea. We owe a great debt to Rafa.
  15. I feel for Rafa and the players but nothing will change while we subsist in the nether regions of the PL. Only relegation, maybe two relegations, will create the backlash required to get rid of the current regime. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.
  16. Shearer came back from injuries a lot worse than Owen ever suffered and outside of those periods he hardly missed a game. Shearer was electric at Blackburn and although he never had Owen’s raw pace he was able , before his first major injury, to pick up the ball deep and run at defences. When Owen burst on the scene there was a lot of talk about his reliance on pace and that he would struggle if he lost it and that’s exactly what happened. He could never come to terms with the fact he wasn’t that 19/20/21 year old anymore. Shearer, on the other hand, modified his game and changed his style which prolonged his career.
  17. Might be worth tweeting a few bods/organisations/sponsors involved in the Rugby Union. Do they want their showpiece event to take place in a stadium so obviously neglected. Might embarrass the club a bit - on second thoughts they are pretty shameless.
  18. Perez has talent but he’s been in English football for years now and he’s as fragile as ever. Other slightly built players have came from abroad and worked on their physique and general robustness.
  19. Jorgensen reminds me of Frank Pingel; utter shite.
  20. In all seriousness I can’t believe you are conflating these two individuals. One is an unhinged and sociopathic despot who has surrounded himself with sycophants to do his dirty work. He’s lied and cheated for years whilst clinging to power. The other is Robert Mugabe.
  21. I'm sure we could flatten the current ground and get some clever architect to design a 60-65k stadium in the space left behind. Lower the pitch or build up at Gallowgate and Leazes end?? Purely hypothetical as it would cost a mint but if we had mega bucks owners they could transform the site into a state of the art facility whilst retaining the current historic and iconic location.
