The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

So, using the logic of most people, Sissoko is a Galactico? -
CHEESE! I thought I'd give my own contribution to "Most Pointless Input Into A Thread". Seems I've got competition.

N-O Football Match - Red v Blue @ 10:30 on 18/05/19 @ Dunston Powerleague

Aye I don't think there should be 22 and thats it. A few extras for rolling subs seems a good idea. -
Assuming other teams pick up points?

So you know Wise? I guess you can provide some evidence of his c**tish behaviour. Without media-manufactured fanfare.

I think at the moment the impact of results and how players react to them is all-important. If you can get another positive result against Spurs then perhaps a better 2nd half of the season can be looked forward to. Due to the competitive [crap standard] nature of the league, even a loss against Spurs would leave you within sight of top half. For the first time I can remember, the general look of the league may not be decided until Mar/Apr.

Think a lot of "famous" people are in that mould really. Often quite canny people and approchable if needs be.

Aye we somehow managed to win by scoring 3 goals. Weird that. Saying that Im a bit nervous about this match. Its just our style to play well away and then lose at home. Butt isnt our key btw, you could say its Bassong, Given, Colo, Jonas, Owen, Martins, or possibly Guthrie, but not Butt. My head says 3-1 to us my heart (broken by nufc on many an occassion when Ive expected more) says 1-0 to you. I can vouch that you can indeed dominate a game and lose it by conceding 3 goals. True. In that match though he's saying they dismantled us. I think people forget that Shay Given is actually part of our team, and not some sort of hired help though. He made some amazing saves playing for us. We were dismanted twice, they were dismantled twice, but Oba also scored that screamer. I agree with your point in general though, it just doesnt apply to the match KD is on about imo. EDIT: Also, we can vouch for it too. We lost 4-1 to Fulham at home a few seasons ago but dominated the game. Crossley won 'Performance of the season' for the game I remember. Aye true. Not sure whether its better to play s**t and lose, or dominate and lose. [/grrrashleyyoung]

There is no "most important" part imo. Madras' sentence sums it up nicely though.

I'll bring the cheese and cucumber sandwiches. -
It looks a lot more like the Emirates than you're letting on. Poor effort from the club. No doubt the facilities will be great but no real thought has gone into it and it isn't unique in any way. That's what I hate about the new breed of stadia, they're so f***ing bland. The Emirates is a superbly furnished place to spend an afternoon in your leisure pursuit, there's no doubt you'll be comfortable, but it is every bit as soulless as the Riverside, the Reebok or the Ricoh. Everton's Kirkby plan (forgive me, I'm behind on developments there - in fact, fill me in on them if you've got time) looks like the worst of the lot. Goodison may be decrepit in parts and unserviceable, but it IS Everton. Clubs seem happy to sell out that kind of history a little too easily for my liking. You're right mate, the Kirkby stadium is bloody awful. Thankfully it has gone to a public enquiry where it is being torn to shreds for breaking loads of planning rules and doesn't look likely to go through. It's basically a massive scam to let Tesco have a monopoly in that area and fill Kenwright's pockets with millions in extra cash when he sells up. Any other set of fans would have driven him out by now. Ours are too stupid/apathetic. "Stability", woop.

They've combined the sports depts for The Journal, Sunday Sun and Chronic anyway. He's a grade A cock and I'll be happy to see one of the last bastions of Shepherd gone. Don't buy this "it's a hard job" s***, he had his head buried up Shepherds arse. Mini-Lee is a cock as well. Spoke to him on the phone a few times, arse and elbow spring to mind. I think Luke Edwards wil be given the top job, hopefully. He's an excellent reporter. Him and Neil Farrington should be the future of Thomson House. If they are, I might even change my username. Oh dear, now you've done it.

Out of interest do you live there? Good to see the commitment coming from Darlo! I actually live in the middle of nowhere, but Darlo would be the nearest train station to get up there. Ah right. There's a fairly large area of nowhere surrounding Darlo in all fairness. The place itself feels like nowhere on some occasions! -
There are clear signs of spite from LT here but, shes got a job to do, a blog is based on opinion. No real surprise it's based on Michael Owen, as he's the biggest name playing in the North East by a country mile.

Just as an indication, who here would be getting the metro there, at a stop near/in the town centre? (Station, Monument, Haymarket, West Jesmond)? -
Must say I was impressed with Butt's attempted penalty giveaway.
-
True, but you can say that about anyones key players, e.g. Martins and Jonas both playing s**t. At least for teams outside the Top 4
-
What was different when Kinnear took over? Not a snappy question, as I'm not particularly in the know We weren't as s***. Surely wasnt that much difference in the teams bar maybe Jonas.
