I agree, we performed relatively well v Brighton, Everton and Chelsea, but squandered too many opportunities. The performances v West Ham, Palace and Brentford were alarming though. The turn around since then has been nothing short of remarkable. Full credit to Howe and the coaching staff.

We'd just been hammered by Brentford, while Spurs were battering City and you'd just appointed Amorim. It seemed canny unlikely. -

Imagine this time six weeks ago saying we'd win at Man United, Spurs and Arsenal. Surreal week or so. -
Overall he had a decent game, but he flapped horribly at a couple of set pieces. Great servant and wish him luck moving forward. It's a move that makes sense for all parties, providing Pope is fit and/or Trafford comes in.
-
Arguably his best all round performance for us tonight.
-
If he's leaving, I'd wager Trafford is incoming.

Classic Waugh. A lot of what we already know.

Forest have a lot of David Moyes' Everton about them.

Guehi would be a very nice fit for our style of play. If Palace lower their demands, I bet we'd be interested.

Didn't Le Fee turn down Bournemouth because he didn't fancy moving to England?

This is how Arsenal fans sound when they're thirsting after Isak. He guarantees double digit goals and is heading into his prime years. He's got two and a half years left on his deal, I'd wager he'll end up going to a club like Liverpool for circa £70 million to £80 million.

Superb head loss from Ange.

From the club's PoV, it's the last opportunity to make a bit of cash off him. He's what? 36 and going through a purple patch. We've been guilty of not capitalising on these opportunities before.

Class to see the crack hasn't changed since September, I love my home comforts.

Looking at this objectively, we're playing a side with two wins in nine. They're playing a third choice keeper, have one fit CB, no fit RB, their best CM is suspended and their main playmaker has been ill all week. Meanwhile we've won five in a row, conceding one. The odds are vindicated. Subjectively, I'm a Newcastle United fan and I'm hyper aware of how good they are going forward. I've seen us not capitalise on these situations many times over the years, I'm taking nothing for granted.- 591 replies

Probably more to do with the fan base, one of the most entitled going. Ruin the good times with expectation and revel in the bad.
-
Will they be asking difficult questions?
-
It can't be, remember when Arsenal fans ascended the moral high ground over this stuff last season?

The same Spurs fan who claimed Mitchell likes deals done quickly and quietly (lol) also claimed that while he was hugely respected, it was quite well known Mitchell has a massive ego and isn't the easiest to get on with. Perhaps that's all it is, he's a bit of a dick, or perhaps Spurs fans just talk shite.
